Is there any reason they couldn’t have sold tickets earlier (in the week, or 2, or via OZNR) to avoid this?

I don't think OZNR would help in that situation. But, as someone else mentioned, they could have had a couple people walking around with a portable CC device to ask how many tickets you wanted and be able to hand them to you while standing in line. Or moved the ticket purchase area away from where the pours were happening. Just didn't make sense how they had it setup.

Elmhurst has both Arabesque and Minutiae on tap right now.

Arabesque let me down a bit due to my high expectations of it. It's certainly a great beer, but not quite integrated enough to be world class for me.

Minutiae though, wow. Insane beer, the best of what P3 has to offer.

Same impression that I got at FOBAB. Didn't stand up well to Anunnaki (Brothership) or Roarming Elephant, but that's my $0.02. It's definitely thicker than the latter, but that doesn't increase the flavor.

Sorry to interrupt the Soaked in Oak hate train but I went to Elmhurst on Saturday night and it was probably a top 10 meal for me. From the hospitality to the beverage selection and then finally the food everything was incredible. I will say the space is kind of cramped for how absolutely slammed they were for the hour and change I was there but other than that 10/10 would eat and drink again.

I want to try the other rooms/patios in the back sometime. I love the spot with the Great Western Trail right there. Haven’t been to Bottle Theory yet but it’s right there as well.

Had a great experience at Soaked in Oak. There were 3 kegs of TBM for those wondering

Had opposite experience tonight, stopping in for first time to try the burger. Was by myself, hostess directed me to the last spot at corner of bar even though a ton of tables open. Sit down and order even though am facing a wall about a foot from my face that is the back of the bar itself. Ordered and then eventually asked if I could move. Smash burger was dry patties that didn’t seem high quality. Fries were fine but nothing great. Asked if they had any cheese-like dip, was told no, and then watched guy next to me eat an entire plate of fries with pimento cheese dip. Arabesque and minutiae were solid, but man does P3 struggle to hit the 5oz mark.

Out the door, $50 incl tip for a burger with bacon and about 9oz of BA beer. Feels like a one and done.

Looks like Arabesque b1 bottles were onsite at LZ — anyone want to split a bottle tonight if still available?

Heres an email that I got today regarding the original Ambassador wait list from 2019. I'll have to see the details before I agree to anything, but the addition of an Elmhurst location certainly has me considering it a bit as my in-laws aren't far from there. IIRC, they do not allow members to use a proxy to pick up bottles. Is that right?

    Hello,
We hope this message finds you well and filled with excitement for the next phase of our Ambassador program!

Since your initial sign-up in 2019, you've been patiently waiting, and we're thrilled to be reaching out to you with a crucial update. As we prepare for the next chapter, we want to ensure that your information is up-to-date and that you're still eager to be a part of this exclusive experience.

Please respond to this email only if you are no longer interested in joining the Ambassador program, or, if necessary, update your email on the waitlist to match the one associated with your OZNR account. This alignment is essential for a seamless process as we move forward.
In the coming weeks, we'll be sending out invites to those at the top of the waitlist, granting them an exclusive opportunity to join the Ambassador program. Upon receiving your invitation, you'll have a week to confirm and purchase your membership.
We have also created a form on our website for those interested in adding themselves to the waitlist. You do not need to resubmit your information! You are still on the waitlist and these new signups will join at the back of the line.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing more details about the enhanced 2024 membership. Thank you for being a part of our community, and here's to the exciting journey ahead!
    Cheers,

    P3

Interesting that they don’t mention bottles going down to 500ml. There was also feedback from P3 following that announcement saying (in response to a comment) that there will also be limited 12oz bottles in the future.

    Price stayed the same though.

Where are you seeing this info? I'm an "Ambassador" but this is all news to me about reducing the bottle sizes next year.

If you're on Facebook it's in the post from Shaun on November 20.

An ambassador (fellow BA) was texting me on Thanksgiving morning said it had just been announced somewhere on social media, and that members were so thankful for the reduction in bottle size. Said it ruined his thanksgiving. :joy:

I’m under the impression that the price is dropping from $300. Rising costs were cited so I don’t expect it to drop 33% like the volume drop

Looking like the Ambassador hat may not be a good fit for me. And that's okay.

    Do you get a hat? I dk why I'm envisioning a tri-point.

Those seats along the south wall are brutal. Would rather leave than stare at a wall a foot from my face. I understand why they have that shelf seating but no thank you!

So, is this like the seating you see at a sandwhich shop that looks outside, or like the seating in front of the kitchen in a restaurant (not to be confused with a chef’s TABLE, of course)?

It is like sandwich shop but only some of the seats are at a window. The rest are against the wall. You sit at the shelf/bar with your back to the restaurant tables and the regular bar. I have seen similar set-ups at other places and really find them isolating.

Get a seat at the regular bar or a table as this place is great!
