I think Phase of Fog is a Heady-inspired Vermont style IPA, which means that it's probably way more bitter than your average hazy, darker in color and much drier. I wanted to try it, but Beer on the Wall never got it... I did love Tonal Range which is the same yeast that Heady uses (Conan).

Yeah, I finally had one of the Tonal Ranges last month and was really blown away by it.

I think the heady beer from Phase Three is Blue Hour? They call it a "Vermont-style" vs Tonal's "Northeast style". I've only ever heard that blue hour got a different yeast from the bartenders in the taproom.

Stopped in to pickup BA Niu at LZ and since last weekend they have taken out all but two of the long tables from the Branch by the pinball machines and added low couches, coffee tables and a foozball table. Great vibe addition! Minutiae 23 still tasting mighty fine.

I stopped in yesterday early afternoon to pick up my BA Niu (which is good, nothing special; base needs more robustness, but not overly adjuncted). Had Minutiae as well, again fine. But enjoyed the space. Sat at the bar. Initial tender forgot about me, but the other picked up her slack and was excellent. Chicken sandwich had a great flavor profile but was extremely over fried. Highlight was the spruce IPA. Totally balanced and easy to drink, got a pack to go. Overall happy with the stop, wouldn’t go out of my way to visit unless I’m in the area.

Looks like I was part of the second wave of invites for membership. Thought about it for a day, and ended up joining. $250 price tag isn’t terrible, and I wouldn’t mind trying more of their stouts even if they are with additives. Hoping for more of the non-additive type though.

I was also part of the 2nd wave and joined. Been splitting a membership with a friend the last couple years so looking forward to being able to have first crack or a better crack at some of the more exclusive bottles. Also excited they are moving to the 500ml format.

You might have got mine. Bowing out so you can expect a lot less bitching from me on next year's thread!
