How much are curvature 750ml bottles usually? The 2 pack I purchased was $16 for 24oz

    Think they've typically been $20 for a 750ml

Yeah, I have no idea because I never leave the city for beer anymore, and I also HATE big beer bottles.

"Minutiae Reserve is new for us - like Minutiae, the focus is all about blending, stout, casks, and spirit character. Each year, the blend will change and focus on specific parts of that - think unique casks, double or even triple barreling, unique cask blends, variants of our stout base - the focus will change, but the overall approach will always be to find a unique approach to showcase cask aged stout.

Minutiae Reserve:2022 will be available via a random draw on @get.oznr later this week. Stay tuned."

No word on if Ambassadors get first crack (I'm sure hoping we do...)

Ambassador’s have their own random drawing and the pouting in the group page has never been more obnoxious

If any Ambassadors want to assign their membership to me I'd be willing to take this off their hands, purely as an act of charity.

Swung by the taproom on Friday to pick up Affinity.
    1. Taproom is fine. Too cold for my brittle bones to sit outside, and I always think the music inside is too loud.
    2. Had a small pour of Curvature 12 (coconut / maple / cinnamon), and I thought it was good, but not great. Was also my second beer of the year.
    3. Affinity: cans were squishy, which scare me after the pressed cans I had were totally flat, but the bartender said it was fine - just low carbed on purpose. Split a single can 5 ways and that was about right (half a standard drink!). People loved it. I thought the flavor was quite intense.
    4. They had Eunoia 2 and BA Pressed Reserve as surprise to go options, which was neat.
    5. Czech-style Dark Lager is very enjoyable. Recommend.

We always think the music in there is WAY too loud

    $60 + 2 hours of driving.

this better be just as enjoyable as 30 PBRs in Milwaukee, or I’m going to ask for my money back.

lol - I’m not the only person who likes that Dark Lager:

Phase Three P3 Czech-Style Dark Lager
    (Lake Zurich, Illinois)
A Phase Three beer makes this list, but it’s not a stout? There would be plenty of reason to expect one, since their Eunoia series has produced some utterly captivating expressions of barrel-aged stout. Yet, while cofounder Shaun Berns is known for his biggest beers and more hype-focused styles such as hazy IPA, he’s also been quietly and methodically focusing on the brewery’s lager program, winning praise for them in a metro area that’s dense with great craft lagers.
Phase Three’s Czech-style dark lager strays a bit from the purely Czech playbook, engaging the aroma with a bit of porter-like roast and chocolate and just a bit of sulfur. But those stronger aromas don’t manifest in the flavor, leaving bread crust, milk chocolate, and a toasty malt note with a pleasant floral and spicy hop edge that’s more structured than crisp. Darker malt notes remain more insinuation than enunciation, a firm hug rather than a deep dive. It finishes dry, of course, adhering tightly to the European idea that the best beer is one that can be consumed several at a time, yet it’s anything but forgettable.
While the beer-trading world may overlook this beer in favor of Phase Three’s more extravagant offerings, it’s every bit as much a showcase of their intensive focus on quality in ingredients, recipes, and techniques.”

Not a member (hope to be one someday, maybe) but I split a membership with someone and he hit the lottery so we are going to share the bottle. That being said, P3 should consider moving away from the 750ml bottles and going to 500ml bottles, especially for these type of releases. If the yield was indeed low like people have speculated then a smaller bottle would give more people an opportunity to get a bottle. I know people will complain about that too but that seems to be a viable option P3 could take to at least try and reward their Ambassadors.

Yes please to smaller formats. 12oz cans for curvature and affinity was a great first step.

A 750 ml bottle of minutiae reserve contains over 7 standard drinks in it. I’m all for sharing beer, but as me and my beer buddies get older and wiser, the large format, high gravity beers are filling up the cellar.
