They also had BA Black is Beautiful and Minutiae 22 to go at open. BiB sold out first, and was replaced by BA Pressed. Minutiae 22 sold out around noon I think. Not sure if there were other bottles after.

For those of you who tried it, how was it?

 

I thought it was great, everything I am looking for in a big BA stout. Great barrel, char, tobacco and mouthfeel. It was better than expected. I had buddies who had it at Minutae day and said it was not good, straight fuel. Had it again yesterday and thought it was way better than back in December.

 

well this makes me happy to hear because I thought the pour at the event was fantastic. Here’s to hoping more barrel forward stouts starting to come out from P3

 

I sent Shaun a ziploc bag of my tears for their next barrel aged release; according to P3, NOTHING tastes better than the tears of left-out Ambassadors.

Not sure if that was posted before. The location is solid and added bonus, right near the Prairie Path bike trail and the new Bottle Theory.

 

It has been posted about before, but the opening date was never announced. I assumed that it would be opening sometime in the spring. This is great news, thanks!

 

Any Ambassadors going to the bottle share next Sunday?

 

I'm going with a friend. We are both first year members. I have hosted and been to plenty of bottle shares and have done so at Dark Lord day. But wondering how this works. The Facebook post said to only open bottles you brought but then there was a clarification saying for legal reasons they have to do all pouring of their beer as well as what we bring. I have never been to a bottle share like that. We will soon find out I guess. I think it will be fun.

 

Can’t / won’t make it to the bottle share, but Binny’s Lincoln park has a cool P3 event next Tuesday. I’ll be there! List of beers looks awesome. I think 10 different BA options.

Any LZ locals attend the Consume / P3 dinner and beer pairing last night? How was the Weller SB Consume S-101 and how the hell did you get an invite !?!? A while back one of the guys at Consume had told me they had collab'd but never seen details on the event.

Been up for a few days and no sell out. Was an easy pass for me at that price.

 

Two posts above you @Quilentro shared the same event/link, so yes, we have all seen it on here.

The tap options have not been posted on here though, and according to their socials, Arabesque 21 will be one, which is nice. Really small pours though and agree with @BeerPrince22 that it is overpriced for what is offered.

Next Saturday at the taproom is another survey test What Could Be day for those who want to be the guinea pigs for future Eunoias.

9oz of cool beer and a “bento box” from cafe ba-ba-reeba seems pretty reasonable to me, assuming that the food is good. If anyone is going, come say hi.

 

Finally drinking an Affinity and holy cow. This might be my first Phase Three stout outside of FoBAB and I just forget how chewy these are. This is like drinking a brownie. I kind of love it and hate it at the same time.

 

$35 does seem kind of steep for a couple small pours of their BA stuff.
