Only throwing this out there because it hasn't been mentioned yet but I think Brauhaus Schmitz is under appreciated. Had a great meal there with some interesting German drafts that you really won't get anywhere else. That and the taproom looks amazing.

I know its not beer, but you should stop at Termini Bros and pick up a sfogliatelle (a type of Italian pastry) they're amazing. As far as beer goes, I think you can find some bottle shops just outside the city that may have better prices in the city. Also, either on your way there or on the way back, you should stop by Kane and/or Carton in NJ.

This is a trick question: you should be eating a Philly Roast Pork sandwich instead.

This is the correct answer. And either DiNic's or John's Roast Pork are acceptable places to do so.

Fair enough, I don't suppose garlicky-broccoli rabe sandwiches are any good?
How is the vegan stuff at Memphis Taproom? I've been meaning to try a day on that side of town.

Top places: Vedge (high end vegetarian and great mixed drinks); Hip City Veg (great sandwiches, etc.)
