Aw man. You have to try some Olde Mecklenburg beers while in the CLT airport. Get your German back on, dude!

Terminal A West, Chickie's and Pete's- Victory provides them a 'house' beer, CrAbbey Ale, which works well with the famous fries

Eh, PHL does not have a lot to offer. Hope it's a short layover. Every terminal has a Jet Rock, they'll probably have a Victory or Yards on tap. There'll definitely be Yeungling.

Thanks for the heads up @Shandycan. As it turns out, that spot was right next to our gate. So, I got to try the CrAbbey ale (interesting enough) and had a Hop Devil (I remember this beer being way better years ago, but the last two trips to Philly I had one and really didn't like it at all).

Haha, not a chance. Had no interest in drinking US brewed German styles on my way back to Germany...

Not that I'm a big Hop Devil fan, but I wouldn't judge it from the airport serving. By the way they mistreat everything else, I could see the beer not being handled properly.

    Not anymore. Only B&D currently.

I considered that, but I've also had many beers that tasted just fine/proper at the airport as well so I figured it was a moot point.

If you are ever there again, and since I don't care much for Chickie and Pete's for a variety of reasons, I'd have suggested the Jet Rock in either Terminal B or D (I have the most experience with D). As pointed out earlier they will likely have some local beers on tap for you to sample, including Dock Street which does a couple of nice things (e.g., the Rye IPA). While the food isn't outstanding, the tap selection is reasonably good.

I'm a little down on Chickie & Pete's because I don't like the faux pint glasses they use. Look at the bottoms of them and you'll see what I mean.
