2 events announced so far as per @PhillyTapFinder

    - Black Wednesday event @ Boat House Conshy. BCBS, Coffee, Barleywine, Northwoods.

    - Black Friday @ Alla Spina. Same 4 as above.

Anyone hear about any other BCBS events in Philly?

I'm sure some will end up at City Taphouse for their yearly Black Friday event

Last year I think they were charging $10 an 8oz pour? I guess that's the going rate for the variants though.

Alla Spina just posted they'll be offering chances to win bottles of '14 Prop and '15 Rare during their Black Friday event. Not sure if this is a raffle sort of deal, but I'm intrigued.

Just an FYI. There will be more details, but Exton beverage will have one of the largest allotments in the area.

Very disappointed Alla Spina is doing their event on Friday instead of Wednesday this year. Always enjoyed that early taste of bourbon county.

Yeah, I think I'll pass. Last year I got a bottle of the Barleywine for @ $10-11, I can't see paying $1.25 ounce for a beer that, to me at least, is much better enjoyed at home as opposed to a loud, crowded, smelly bar (no offense guys, you don't smell, I just mean lots of different smells in general like food, perfume, residual cigarette smoke, etc).

Capones is doing his usual event which I have enjoyed in the past. Reg (2017 and past vintages), Coffee, Barleywine, Northwoods on tap.

Yeah for sure, I like that event because BC is usually the least exciting thing on the list haha.
This is going back a good 4 years or so now but I won't forget going that night and double fisting a Cantillon Kriek and a Parabola. That and he was doing bottle pours of all of his Eclipse stock (finally realizing that the prices on those guys are generally prohibitive).

    Are these bottle pours?

hmmm...PTF didnt specify. not sure. i would guess sixtels as bottle pours i think would require a larger number than they probably would normally get

Side question - does anybody ever buy Eclipse bottles? They seem to eventually disappear from shelves, so somebody must buy them, but as someone who will spend an absurd amount of money on a bottle of beer, I've never been able to justify the price enough to pull the trigger.

They just seem to vanish don't they haha. I had a pour from the Rittenhouse Rye variant and it was excellent but a pour was enough.

Anyone know if Prop 2017 will be tapped in Philly this year? I know City Tap House Logan had it last year but they haven't posted anything about Black Friday yet.

City tap house will not be having a Black Friday event. Doubt you will see any prop

Alla Spina had it last year, too, but they aren't getting it this year. I guess Philly is getting shut out of Prop.

Prop is almost always chicago exclusive. We have seen a keg or two trickle in, but usually not the current calendar years during black friday release.

The knob creek version is also basically chicago and kentucky only.

Does anyone remember what time people started lining up at the Foodery Roxborough and Boathouse last year?
