Sorry my phone died . 4 packs of Surly at POPE were $22 ( furious, coffee bender & one other
    one.

It was a good time. Service was a little slow but expected with the crowd they had.

Sorry I didn't get ur name but big thanks to the 11yr BA vet who sat at table next to my fiancé and I. Thanks for
answering our questions. Enjoyed the conversation.

Oh sorry for stating the obvious but Darkness is really good stuff!

Missed the Darkness at POPE, but would love to try it. From what I see in this thread there were can sales, so would be willing to trade for some if anyone is interested. Sorry if this is the wrong place (ISO/FT?), but I have some Heady Topper picked up last weekend. Message me if interested.

And as a general note, just moved to the area and planning to be at a number of events over the next week. Have said Heady to trade and willing to entertain offers if anyone is interested. Let me know. Pumped to be here!

Also (jesus, 3rd post in a row, sorry I'm the worst) the Nodding Head/Dogfish event was just fantastic. Sam is incredibly laid-back, beers were unbelievable, and Curtis at Nodding Head was just as gracious. Thanks to all who were involved there, a well-run ship.

I admit, I am curious to see how many folks show out at Iron Abbey for Surly tonight, especially since there is no Darkness.

I agree. I was a slightly underwhelmed by American Youth, not bad, just average.

Geodesic however was amazing. St. Twoer was also super crushable and fresh and a bargain for $4 a pint.

Since nothing kicked Sunday I imagine they are going to be pretty busy this week(end) as soon as Negative Creep and So It Goes... is put on.

Going to pay $23-$24 thru France44.com (includes shipping). So it was about same price as ordering it online.

Dude, right? The Surly beers -- even Darkness -- were actually kind of a letdown (okay not a let down they were fantastic but still) after 2006 Fort / 2006 Raison D'Extra / 2002 WWS and meeting Sam! Dude is the living embodiment of stoked.

And the event was not a total clusterfuck! There were literally no lines, but it was crowded. Perfect.

    POPE however...yeesh.

Hey wanted to throw this out there -- the Pilsner Urquell BEER IS FOOD event at SHS tonight is FREE if you RSVP.

    http://philly.eater.com/archives/20...e-rare-pilsner-urquell-pours-in-headhouse.php

That's 3 pours + 3 bites, and it's a keg of unfiltered Pilsner not the regular stuff. Free!

There's also a beer garden across the street with Evolution Brewing, Lancaster Brewing, Old Dominion Brewing, Susquehanna Brewing, Troegs, and Victory.

    Dig!

So did So It Goes. I went back at around 6:30 on Sunday and they were both on.

I saw some people on twitter talking about 1999 WorldWide in addition to 2002. Was 1999 really available or was that a mistake?

Hah, yeah he is. Staff was great too. And the Immort....wow. Now have to make it back there to try Nodding Head's own stuff.

We were told by one of the staff that the 2002 was a misprint/error and it was actually a 1999. That's how I understood it anyway, didn't check the bottle myself though. Also that was after two samples each of said stout and the 120 minute, so my understanding may not have been as sharp as desired.

Pope was jammed last night. Darkness was kicked in 30 minutes or so.. Lucky I got one but it was the only beer I got the whole time I was there. Bartenders completely ignored people on one side of the bar, so we just left.
