Philly Beer Week June 1st-10th

“The HF Citra was amazing.” I had one last evening and I concur!!

I had the Hill Farmstead Citra last year for the first time at a Capone’s Philly Beer Week Hill Farmstead event. The owner/brewer Shaun Hill was there. That beer motivated me to make a homebrewed all Citra hopped IPA which turned out great.

Does anybody know whether the 3F stuff will be at The Cambridge or Hawthornes?

 

The FFF stuff is supposed to be part of the event, so if the event is definitely at The Cambridge, my money is that is where you'll find the FFF

 

Just tried the Myth of Saison over at Jose Pistolas, also great. Place wasn't too crowded yet when I left (unfortunately it was one and done... back to work )

 

Has anyone been to one of the Dogfish events at Via Marconi? I've never been there but it didn't look like they have enough taps to accommodate all the beers listed. Am I wrong or do they just rotate all weekend as they kick? Been meaning to check the place out but I'm very rarely near Lansdale.

At the Cambridge. Will be a cool place once construction is finished. Just wanted to pass along that there is no 3 Floyd's. They were told to hold it back for now. Just passing along the info I got, so if they somehow put some legs on later, don't shoot the messenger.

 

Shocker. I wouldn't want to be the staff tonight...having to deal with all the people who saw the multiple facebook messages only to find out "oh yeah, about that...uh"

 

especially since there hasn't been a public mea culpa yet (as far as i know).

 

I searched for one a little while ago and nothing. Not even a comment on any of the three photos they still have up on their facebook page. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the sketchiness and lack of details all week had me thinking it wasn't going happen when they first posted it. Nothing about it made sense.

 

Ya know, I looked at Hawthornes FB page, and I don't see the posts. Do u need to 'like' them to see them? I came from NJ , but I don't care. Still plenty of good brews and 3f is coming.

 

They are in the "photos" section. Also are you talking about drie Fontenein? If not what do you mean 3f is coming? Didn't you just say they aren't?

 

Nah, I mean three Floyd's from Munster, IN is coming to Philly soon. They obviously have the product, they are just holding off a bit. Yes, freshness issues, I know.

 

painless Bottleworks event tonight at Fergies. Got to try Bottleworks XII finally. absolutely delicious. Then finished the night with even more Hill Farmstead at Boilermaker (did Jose Pistola's this morning). I was really happy with that place this week, as they would tap their beers earlier on in the day, before the event, so it was always dead-ish whenever i would go over there, and i could still get what i wanted without dealing with the shitshow of people that would show up when the event "started"
