Thanks, I somehow missed that list. Do you think any of those will last until tomorrow?

They are not coming to Philly. They most likely got the kegs through a back channel deal.

Personally, I don't blame them for not tapping them. This whole thing has turned into a giant fiasco that is just begging for a PLCB raid. "Hey, look at us! We have some unregistered beers for you guys. Here is the time and place we will be serving them. Stop on by!" They should have just thrown them on and been done with it.

Apparently there is a new temporary registration for something like Beer week that is less than $75. Came out of the shakeup last year.

Yes, but to take advantage of the temporary registration, one needs to actually register the beers. Currently, there are no Three Floyds beers registered in the state beer system--temporary or otherwise.

I don't blame them for not tapping them, I blame them for posting multiple messages about it with no details, drumming up interest and then going silent. Not even a "hey guys, we were just kidding about those beers."

Am I the only one cynical enough to believe the whole thing was a ploy to get everyone out to their new bar and they never intended on tapping them?

people are making it sound like they were advertising this FFF blowout and then tapped 3 kegs of yuengling black and tan instead. they still had the full lineup of Maine Beer Co (ive never seen lunch on tap before) and pulled out 2 different 5050 eclipses along with 3 other draft-only offerings that were here for beer week.

i went with my girlfriend and we both really liked it - seems like they're going to have a pretty fun neighborhood bar with tvs, outdoor patio, great beers, etc once it's all finished.

and if there really was some sort of issue with registration, it'd probably be better for them to just "go silent" rather than issuing a public statement saying "hey we were going to tap these unregistered beers but we dont want to get in trouble." ultimately, they don't owe us anything.

Oh I am totally with you. They should have NEVER posted those pictures, word of mouth is definitely the way to go. If you just let the right people know then soon everyone who needs to know finds out and they kick the kegs in a few short hours. Some people will miss out but at least it doesn't end up like this did.

However it's not like they didn't have plenty of good beer to drown the masses sorrows. Sure they didn't get that dreadnaught they wanted, but it's still Philly Beer Week and there is plenty of amazing beer to go around.

I actually wanted to go. i'm generally a fan of the hawthorne's crew, i love Maine beer and figured it would be one of the few really awesome events I wanted to go to that wouldn't be absolutely mobbed. Once they started posting the pics I didn't know what to expect so I skipped it.

Had to work late but stopped at Boilemaker after for Hill Farmstead. Unfortunately, Abner, What is Enlightenment?, Edward, S&S3, Citra and Abner had all kicked. Still got to try S&S2, Myth of Saison and all of the Grassroots stuff. Great event! Might try to hit up Fergies for leftovers today, that English beer fest at Farmers Cabinet or Boilermaker for Cabinet Artisnal(Terry's FC house beers) tap takeover.

Well I'm late with my Saturday post. In addition to Teresa's for Hill Farmstead (where it'll likely be BA headquarters today), here's some other likely major happenings for Saturday:

    - Brews Blues and BBQ Fest at Starlight Ballroom
    - Fishtole FestivALE block party at Johnny Brenda's/Frankford Hall
    - U.K. Beer Fest at Farmer's Cabinet
    - Sour Brunch at Standard Tap
    - maybe the big Dark Horse tap takeover at Hawthorne's (lotta uncommons there)

    Have fun!

Did anyone go to Monk's for the JW Lees cask event? If so, what were they charging per glass?

Got to Teresa's at 1030...most Hill Farmstead went on at 11:30am. A few of them (5) went on at 1pm. Between me and my husband we tried everything we haven't had before. I thought the Tired Hands/Hill Farmstead Saison was the best beer there. Glad we got everything we wanted. It's crowded now but not out of control...as far as I know everything is still on.

We were there when it opened as well. didn't get packed until 1 on the nose. Some standing room. bartenders are working their asses off. Have to imagine some stuff will kick soon, but nothing had once we cashed out at about 2:15.

Teresa's is awesome. Love that place. Tried all the HF stuff. Never had Everett before. May of been my favorite beer I tried all week. Abner, and Society #3 were great too. Every beer they make that I have had is awesome or better.

Something about their hoppy beer that is special. They are all so crisp.

My favorite event of the week.

I had the Myth of Saison at the Hill Farmstead event at Teresa’s Next Door. It was very good. I had lots of other Hill Farmstead beers. Needless to say but they are also very good. I had a chance to talk to Shaun Hill for 5-10 minutes. He is a great guy and needless to say a great brewer.

An extremely nice event at Teresa’s Nest Door. It was well attended but I never felt ‘crowed’.

    Cheers!

Three Floyds is not coming Philly. Let me say that again...Three Floyds is not coming back to PA, and it's entirely likely they never will.

The event at Teresa's was great. Took the train from Lancaster. Had an elk burger and those top notch Hill Farmstead brews. They were all delicious. My favorites were Abner, Everett and Florence.
