Hello all, I have a friend that is going down to philly and asked him to pick up some bottles for me. I dont know my way around philly but he said he will be in the south and 20th area. Any Advise on bottle shops where I could pick up some RR and possibly pizza boy would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Checked out those spots. they arent too far from him. Im hoping to find a one stop shop where he can find both rr and pizza boy.

I have another question as well. What Pizza boy offerings are readily available where my friend wont have to go shop hopping?

I'll throw in a vote for Local 44. Great selection and awesome people working in the store. I have one caveat, I thought it was on the pricier side.

Ive been trying to @tkdchampxi but the only PB I see that would be feasible for my friend would be Sunny side up little apms coffee. its bout 13min away from him. Most of the others seem to be a good distance. He is going to be pressed for time so I dont want him to go out of his way. The other problem is I have never had PB offerings so I dont know what is good from them. I have been going off of the BA ratings.

Sunny Side Up is one of the best non-BA coffee beers I've had, so it's definitely worth a shot if you can pickup a bottle or two.

The Foodery at 10th and Pine has had Pizza Boy almost every time I've been in there, shouldn't be too far for your friend. Last week they had Sunny Side up and Abascio Cell, the week before I picked up a Simcoe Samurai. As I understand PB doesn't bottle everything all the time, so availability is probably more dependent on their schedule than anything.

You can find something from RR almost anywhere, I'm sure The Foodery would have some as well. Closer to 20th and South, I believe I've seen some RR at Towne Pizza at 20th and Pine, also Latimer Deli near 15th and Spruce, although not sure if I've seen Pizza Boy at either place (sorry). Beer Heaven on the east side of town at Columbus and Washington usually has a decent RR selection from what I recall, but again not sure about Pizza Boy, and they are quite pricey even by Philly standards.

    Hope this helps-

Local 44 had some Pizza Boy golden sour when I was there last week. It's probably one of the least priciest places I've been in Philly. It's the only bottle shop I stop at now when Im there.
The bottle shoppe in ardmore had damnation and Supplication Saturday. Supplication was 18$ which was the cheapest I've seen it around.

Can Philly get a sticky thread already?

There are 3 PB available at Northern Liberties Beer, along with some others: https://www.beermenus.com/places/8736-northern-liberties-beer . You missed out on Supplication that was available there last week. If you're lucky, they will tap OTWOA when your friend is there for growler fills. That's on deck, just waiting for JAWN to kick.

    I second this.

They're sold out at the Wegman's in Harrisburg and at Al's of Hampden in Enola. If you find it in the Philly area, buy it on site cause they're out for now.

I'll second Northern Liberties beer. Always a great selection.

Bottle Bar East isn't bad, but pricey. Same with Beer Heaven on Columbus.

NoLibs Beer just posted Supplication for sale.

I'd avoid Bottle Bar East on price alone, unless I want to buy and drink onsite. Beer Heaven is pricey, but they sometimes have beers that most other shops don't...because they are pricey
