Flying into Philly next Wednesday afternoon, staying @ the Embassy Suites Center City. Looking for suggestions for place near the hotel that I can buy beer to take bring to the hotel. I believe the plan is then Monk's, then the Phillies game. Driving to Brigantine TH morning, looking for suggestions on a good place to buy beer on the way. Staying in Brigantine until Sunday, but I am sure that we will end up in AC quite abit, so welcome suggestions on both.
I would second Monde as a go-to. The Foodery near 17th and Sansom is also decent. A little further south of those two is Food & Friends at 20th and Spruce. Olde Philly Ale House to the north on 20th is good too, if they're still open. It's been awhile since I stopped by. Assuming you'd be taking the expressway to Brigantine, any Canal's or Joe Canal's along the way could serve you well. If you get to AC, Wingcraft is one of the better beer bars. Can get crowded.
