If your in the Main Line area enjoying Tired Hands Ferm and Brew Cafe, your not far from a good amount of other places...a short trip down 476 South to Media can dump you at Pinocchio's Beer Garden as well as the Sterling Pig Micro Brewery (Good Food, BBQ Style) - Right Down the Road in Aston you'll find 2SP Brewing, Their not on the Tired Hands level but their starting to put out some good beers and its def worth a taste! Victory Brewing is also out this way and the Brewery is awesome and they do great beers! If your staying in the City there are a massive amount of places for good beer however, some can be better then others...try looking up some of these good spots - Tap Room on 19th (South Philly), their owner (Pete I Believe) is a great dude and keeps the tap lines filled with great brews, Ben their bartender is a great dude as well and knows his brews. Also in South Philly check out Fountain Porter - Great Brews on tap, try out the $5 burgers! Doc Street Brewery in West Philly is also a great spot, great micro brews and real solid food! Local 44 does good work as well

You are staying in a prime location in Philly to walk to beer bars. BRU has a great happy hour with $4 pints of everything they have on tap. I've been lucky enough to drink $4 Plinys there a few times. Can't go wrong with Time, Jose Pistolas, Good Dog, Monks (obviously), Tria, etc. None should be more than a 10 minute walk from your hotel. Just about any place you go in Philly is going to have a bunch of craft tap lines. That might be true in most cities now but Philly has been doing it for 20+ years. Can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Also the area of Frankford/Girard has some great spots all near each other. A few you may be familiar with if you've spent some time in Brooklyn. They are: Barcade, Frankford Hall, Fette Sau and Johnny Brenda's.

Again, thanks guys for the recommendations.

As far as Tired Hands. The plan is to head there Friday during the day. I see that there are 2 places to go; Tired Hands Brewery and Tired Hands Fermentaria. Whats the difference? Looking to sample a lot of their beers, take home cans/growlers. Which place is better? Thanks

Both the ferm and brew café have growler fills. Tomorrow at the ferm is where they will have a can release at 5. Alien church and a few others should last for a bit. IMO, the food at the brew café is better. Candied bacon and paninis on house made bread, you can't go wrong.

I recommend going to both since they are within walking distance. At the Cafe you'll find Tired Hands has more experimental beers on tap. Make sure you don't leave that location until you get a bacon plate. As far as the Ferm its a huge open area. You won't feel claustrophobic like the Cafe. Tap list is full of seasonal beers, crowd favorites, and new releases. I recommend the fish tacos. Cheers and enjoy!
