Hey guys I’m coming out west for a 2 week vacation from KY with my wife and 2 dogs and will be staying in Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Albuquerque. Is sharing beers at the breweries frowned upon? If not, which ones are cool with it and worth visiting? If you see a couple huskies a couple weeks from now, come by and say hey!
I brought a couple cans of Old Nation DDH M43 to share with Wren House in Phoenix, as they had set aside a couple 4 packs of Spellbinder for me. The lady working the bar seemed ok with it (didn't seem like this was the first time this had happened), though I have no idea where they ended up (I was in a rush and couldn't stay).
Not to say that I have never done it in a brewery, but in NM, this would be considered felony bootlegging on the owners part, so pretty strictly illegal. Not entirely sure about AZ.
I've seen people go into Wren House on release days and trade beers from other breweries. AS long as you're buying something at Wren House I dont think they care.
