"Later this fall, Phoenix will gain a new brewery but the Valley will also lose one as well. Phoenix Ale Brewery is closing, and new brewery called PHX Beer Co. will open in the brewery and restaurant spaces the company currently owns and operates."

Can’t say I’m surprised. Seems like they never got any attention in the craft beer community. I’ll always have fond memories of drinking Camelback IPA at Chase Field. :beers:

Most offerings were okay at best with only a few of them worth a repeat visit. I was saddened when Greg Fretz passed away. He was a cool dude and led a nice brewery tour!
Camelback IPA lacked something as it could not hold the candle to the better English IPA's it was modeled after. It reminded me of the lackluster Pyramid Hefeweizen (which did not really taste like a hefe), which was brewed by the guys that started this brewery.
