Haha posted the same before reading yours. I can't imagine something comparing to that.

I really dislike releases because they're always crazy and I don't have time for that. haha

But, the most remote brewery I've been to is The Brewing Lair in Blairsden, CA. It's a brewery literally in the middle of nowhere in the mountains in Northern California. I stopped on my way down from Oregon, and I'm so glad I did. The beer was delicious and it was so quiet outside that I could hear my own thoughts, it was gorgeous.

I drive all over the northeast for work. Driving in rural conditions isn't new for me. But the first time I went HF it was an adventure to find. No cellphone signal and my GPS kept telling me to go up a road that was really an ATV trail with a stream in the middle.

As for beer releases back in Oct 2014 I worked a 12hr day in upstate NY. Drove 4 hrs to VT for Lawson's farmers market. Got there at 4am. Waited outside the taco shop in 37F weather until 8am when tickets where handed out. Bought my beer at 1pm. Slept in my car for 2hrs. Then drove straight home back to NJ.

I think that was one of the last farmers market Lawsons ever did. It was brutal but I'm glad I did it. It's so hard to win the lottery to the Lawsons ticketed events now. I don't think I'll every score a haul like that again.

And Cave Dave brought a growler of Super Kitty. I remember having Deviation and Armand Lente that day. That's about all I remember though.

This isn't technically remote, but at 3,600 miles from where I live, Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Brugge Belgium was pretty awesome. I remember climbing ladders to navigate parts of the brewery. And quite enjoyed their beer and cheese pairing at the end of the tour.

Most remote would have to be a close tie between Hill Farmstead and Toppling Goliath. I don't do many releases but the Mornin Delight was pretty crazy for me. Drove 3 hours through some crazy ass fog and light rain. Got there at 8am when they opened and got my beers and slammed a pour. Got back on the road at 8:20 drove the 3 hours home. Dropped everything off loaded the family in the car and drove 3 hours to Chicago to catch a flight to Myrtle Beach and was at Westbrook 2 days later for a visit.

The first voodoo barrel room release was a hell of an endurance test. Got there on a Friday night, bottle share in a heated tent in the middle of the (blocked off) street w/ footage of snow all around...passed out drunk in a camping chair for like 3-4 hours (more sleep than most)...woke up at 6-7am to get a wrist band that solidified my place in line so I could go and get a cup of coffee, then waited in line for (can't even remember how many) hours until I finally got bottles. Was so wiped out, had to grab the bottles and leave without trying any of the special stuff on tap. Needless to say, their releases now are MUCH better

Jackie O's back in the day.. Show up Friday night and drink until the bars close. Stand outside while be overly intoxicated waiting for a calendar page in the freezing cold. Grab a calendar page after 3am then sleep in our cars until about 7am so we could go to a bottle share at the bakery. Get to Jackie O's at 9am to make sure we got a table for breakfast and the bottle share. Wait around for our page to be called, grab bottles and drive back 1.5hrs home. It was a lot of work

Most demanding release? I dunno....not big on releases. PtY maybe?

Most remote brewery? Kassik's Kenai Brew Stop up in Kenai, Alaska. That place was out in the middle of nowhere, up the peninsula and inland off the beaten path; but the beer was pretty good.

First off let me tip my hat to all of you who stand in line in freezing or wet weather. Years and years of sneaker releases have prepared me for lines but I avoid them at all costs now!

Most demanding release goes on for two weeks a year for PTY. I like to think once you've had it you can cross it off your to do list for the year and enjoy whatever is available the rest of the year.

Most remote personally is Alpine but it's so worth it! However I hope to make the trip to Kern River next month and I've looked that up and that's shaping out to be an adventure.

Alpine is like 25-30 minutes from downtown San Diego, isn't it? My in laws have to drive that far to find a decent restaurant
