I've noticed that the Josephsbrau beers are in shorter supply by me. It's either due to a slimming of the line or the product selling out quickly... but possibly both. When I was at the TJ's by me last week, they had Summer Brew, their Kolsch. It jumped out to me because they removed the word Kolsch from the label and were selling it as a "top fermented lager" - and I appreciated that terminology. In the past, the label has said "Kolsch Style Ale" and "Kolsch Style Lager" (but I couldn't tell you which of those two came first... or if it was a regional thing). This side discussion is even oddly relevant to the "pilsner vs lager" thread topic (in this case being about the old Kolsch: ale or lager debate). I know you're a fan of the Josephsbrau line for their value and style adherence, but I never could click with any of them except the Heller Bock (but that one might be gone).

@zid -- wasn't a big fan of the Kolsch, Plznr, or the newer (seasonal) Maibock -- or the Dunkelweizen. But all of the others were pretty good when you chalk up points for economical and style.

The Vienna was favorite, with the Heller Bock #2. Seasonal the Okto was okay, but the Winter was a terrific dark Doppelbock.

Well, if you get stopped by the police - what sounds better?

You got it. Shakers shake my money out and don't even give me a kiss. Thankfully, there are more places that don't use them anymore than do, locally.
