I tried it with low expectations and I loved it! The aroma is splendid, hops and pineapple in perfect harmony. Taste is good with plenty of bitterness for the hop heads.

agree with many others - very subtle pineapple but actually really well executed...i think i would tire quickly of anything with stronger flavors. very good stuff.

The dates are now printed on the bottom of bottles, the white code was hard to read.

Got a ton of pineapple in the nose, but it was pretty mild in the flavor. I thought it meshed wonderfully. Definitely not sweet, in my opinion.

On the underside of the bottle? Or do you mean below the label?

Im in the little to none pineapple taste camp. I get a slight pineapple sweetness on the back end, but very faint. Odd bitterness that lingers for awhile (haven't had og sculpin in awhile, so this may be the norm with the beer). Glad I got one bottle of it.

I was in a hurry today and the manager at TW brought me out a 6er from the back as they were checking it in. I bought it. As I drank one this evening, I got a good bit of pineapple on the nose and up front from the first sip. It wasn't overpowering, but a solid offering. I still like Grapefruit the best and wish I didn't buy a 6er. I'll still crush the rest, but won't be buying many more with the others on the shelf.

Agreed, I got no pineapple in it and it didn't even remind me of Sculpin like Grapefruit did.

I saw mixed 12 packs at a couple of places down in Massachusetts yesterday - 6 each of regular, grapefruit, and pineapple Sculpins.

In California, You don't need a membership to buy alcohol at Costco. Blew my mind when I found out about that.

Same here. But getting an "Alcohol Pass" at the service desk can be a pain in the dick if there is a line. Also the Costco by me doesn't have the ridiculous selection I've heard others talk about.

Bought a 6-pack of the Pineapple Sculpin and was disappointed. It smells of pineapple, but I get little to none in the flavor profile. Something about it is extra biting and bitter, too. After the grapefruit one (and hearing about the Watermelon Dorado), I had hoped it would be different.

I just walked in, told the guy at the door checking memberships that I wanted to buy alcohol, and they just let me sail on in.

At all four locations I checked.

Of course, I didn't find the Firestone I was looking for (at any Costco I visited), so I didn't have to deal with buying anything without a membership card. Didn't know you needed a pass.

I approve of the Constellation buy-out now!

Sorry about that, it's been a very long day. But I'm glad some one is paying attention!

They were in fact 12 packs, but obviously just 4 of each. Perhaps this format makes it a little easier to just try 4 new beers instead of a whole six pack. I strongly considered buying a box - not for the pineapple but because the date on the box was mid January and I rarely find Sculpin that is less than a couple of months old around me.

Got a sixer of it a few days ago.. Its good but barely any pineapple taste. I take it they had to keep it subtle cause it could've gotten too sweet.

    Grapefruit Sculpin ftw!
