The only ones that I've seen that are $14.99 are the sculpin ones. The rest are $9.99/6pack.

You are fortunate. I have never, ever seen a Ballast Point 6-pack priced that low.:slight_frown:

    Cheers!

Sucks, man. You think the prices will get a bit lower, now that they have been bought?

If I just paid $1 B to buy a company I would try real hard to optimize my return on investment.

In other words, if I was the CEO of Constellation I would ask the finance and sales people this question: are craft beer consumers willing to pay outrageous prices (e.g. 15+ bucks per 6-pack) for Ballast Point beer? And if the response is that they are enough beer consumers willing to pay this amount such that we don't have shelf turds then I would continue to charge this amount. Why lower prices if you are selling out your inventory at those prices?

As a beer consumer I would prefer that Ballast Point beers were priced commensurately with beers from Firestone Walker, Stone, etc. but I would be surprised if that would happen.

    Oh well!?!:slight_frown:

    Cheers!

Calico used to be $8.99 in Pa but is now around $12 the same price as bigeye. GF Seems to be $1-2 more than regular. Lots of it sits getting old and dusty. Weiss near be has GF for $16 yet I paid $10.49 for shape of hops at the same Weiss. Blows sculpin away in my taste.

    Enjoy

Had this at the brewery, it is incredible IMO. Blows grapefruit out of the water.

Ballast Point already covered the reason for the price issue on the Sculpin.

They stated that they lose a lot of the yield in the dry hopping and production process, therefore it's a bit pricier.
(don't shoot the messenger, just sayin what's been said)

a Sixer for 16$ is still less than $2.75 a 12oz and under $4 a pint.. not shabby.. and 0 risk of a run in with the Fuzz

Yes, Grunion, Sculpin, etc., are all usually around the same price in my area. You can sometimes find Longfin for cheaper but it's still pricier than other options and here in PA I have equal to/better Lager options for much cheaper.

What was interesting was BP had a variety pack (12 pack, gotta specify that here in PA ha ha) pop up in my area last year with some solid beers in it (Sculpin was included) and it wasn't too badly priced. I am assuming they still sell the variety pack but I haven't seen it in some time.

I love Pineapple and think the flavor would work well with an IPA so I'm down. I do enjoy Sculpin but think it is overrated, especially at the price point, so this would probably be an infrequent beer for me like the other Sculpins have been.

Sculpin and its variants are 12.99 per sixer around here. The other beers are usually 10.99 a sixer.

Not understanding all the price point complaints since a lot of you pay $16 or more for a bottle of bourbon county.

Ballast Point here is expensive as well. I'll grab a super fresh Grapefruit every now and then, but that's about it. I don't like Sculpin even if it's fresh which is rare because it's expensive for what it is. Big Eye? No. Have to say the Pineapple doesn't sound appetizing , never had the Mango, but I like the Habenaro in short bursts. Overall I can but fresher cheaper local everyday.

I was super pissed when the 6er of Even Keel came out to like $14 or so... I'm like 2 hrs tops away from Ballast Point. That shit doesn't even break 4% abv.

WAH:grimacing:...seriously, I have found the one infused fruit beer or variant to be truly enjoyable start to finish, habñero aside.

Similar here in NY. I love Calm Before the Storm but leave it on the shelf everytime. Steep cost for a 6 pack.
