Torpedo is ALL pine to me. Most, if not all, of SN IPA's are heavy on the pine, in fact.

Weyerbacher Double Simcoe, although I hven't had it in YEARS, I remember to be incredibly piney.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of pine beiong the dominant flavor in IPA's.

Reading this thread so I know which ones to avoid as I don't like pine flavored beers.

Basicly all Ipa's that were first created pre 2010 tend to be more piney as opposed to new ipa's that tend to be more citrusy no matter which coast they are on. IPA's that use simcoe and resin hops most of all while those that use citra el derado and other newer hops tend toward citrus

Crooked Tree IPA is one I have not seen mentioned yet that I feel is piney.

Good one. That's one of those old-standbys that I keep forgetting about for whatever reason.

Lately I'm finding I like citrus/tropical fruit over pine...does Sucks really fall into the heavy pine category...still a fave

I suppose it depends on the individual's palate? I had a fresh Sucks earlier this evening and I would not personally use the word "pine" to describe this beer.

    Cheers!

Piney IPAs tend to wear out my palate quicker and I really have to be in the mood for them, much prefer the citrus-y ones. I second Torpedo and many of SN's IPAs and as others have stated I have found that the older IPAs (the ones that have been around for a while, the originals) seem to pack in the pine.
