Pretty good during the regular season. The playoffs, eh, notsomuch. I need to find the magical brew that'll bring good luck.

My go to glass for anything other than a stout/barleywine. It's fantastic for pale/ipa/dipas.

Most of the beer I drink goes into a nonic pint glass, mainly just because I've always liked them. They tend to feel the most right with various UK styles and American beers like Anchor Steam or some non imperial stouts or porters.

I do also have different glasses that I tend to reserve for German, Belgian or heftier American beers

I use my tulip or snifter most of the time. Pint glasses are for company

I don't doubt that there's a difference, I just don't care. I'm fine with drinking all my beer out of a standard pint glass. I'm not trying to pick out all the nuances in the aroma. Usually, I just want to drink a damn beer.

In fact, most of the time I use my dimple mug.

Snifters are definitely my favorite type of glassware

Maybe the problem is not the brew, but that you need special playoff glassware?

While I do have multiple glasses at home, when I am at a bar I want my beer in a goddamn pint glass. Why? I dont know. There is just something about a pint of beer that I love. I have when bars are, 6oz of this 14 of this oh but this one you can have 16. Just give me a god damn pint and make it easy. Also the abv. argument is horse shit. If you cant drink a pint of any beer you shouldnt be in a bar.

I drink pretty much everything out of either my Karben4 Snifter, my New Glarus Imperial Pint or my Lagunitas Mason Jar. I do have about 20-25 pint glasses I keep on hand for family/friends that don't care what they drink out of. I don't really buy into the "proper glass for proper beer" notion, but I can understand why someone would.

Tell that to your Illinois state legislators who passed the laws holding bar owners and employees at least partly responsible for any damages you cause if you leave their bar in an obviously drunken state. Perhaps they'll shift all legal liabilities back onto you so you can drink what you want of high ABV beers from those pint glasses.

Here most places use 10 oz pours on any ABV above about 7.5, which seems to be a smart thing to do. Don't know it it's state law or just someone using common sense.

Maybe NC has a dram shop law? PA does and the bar owners here do the same or similar things as a way of monitoring customer consumption.

Edit: Just did a quick check online and NC does seem to have a Dram Shop law in place, so that's probably why the 10 oz above 7.5%.
