Looks like a bottle shop and bar. Met the owners recently, nice folks who seem committed to quality above all else. Should be a worthwhile spot in a neighborhood that needs one.
Excellent news. Pineville is a wasteland for craft beer. Here is @Handle article from a few months ago about the concept: http://www.charlottebeer.com/2015/06/16/pintville-craft-beer-to-open-in-pineville/
I went last night. 30 beers on tap. Nothing exceptional. Did have a bunch of Belgians, lots of local stuff. Decent. Not a very good bottle/can selection in a big room in the back, but they are just open, so I hope it will improve. Place was hopping, for the most part. I'm sure, over time, they will get better.
I stopped by on the first day opening. I was impressed, nice little place. They did a great job on the upfit. There working on inventory, but had 16 decent beers on tap. Ill.def go back
And they know something about beer? We have a new-ish beer bar in Lake Norman called Cornelius Drafthouse, and the guys who run it don't appear to know too much about beer. Their offerings are a mess and its clear they are taking all of their cues from their distributors. Sadly, most of the people who go there don't care. I spent ten minutes trying to explain why it's okay to have a stout or porter on draft even during the summer months. The guy seemed perplexed. Though it's convenient, I won't patronize a joint run by pretenders who appear to be serial restaurateur types more interested in "killing it" in an area with few options.
The owner is a super nice dude as well. I've been a couple times now. I believe there was something like 36 taps pouring. It was pretty damn bust both times I went.
Article says the owner was/is a home brewer so it sounds like he at least knows something about beer.
