Pipeworks (2021)

that sounds about right. About 258 of those beers were released the first 6 months they started brewing.

40 years from now, Robot Geraldo Rivera will host a 2 hr special on opening Pipeworks’ vault.

 

I need some BA pipeworks in my life. Did they say when to expect these?

 

I found a Rohrwerker yesterday at a smaller shop I check every once in a while. Really wonder what's happening with their barrel program. Maybe it's just gone and they decided it's not worth the hassle? It'd be sad if that happens. The last stuff they put out was awesome and easily obtainable.

 

I was under the impression a lot of their barrel aging was managed by Mike Schallau, or that he was at least a big part of the blending at the end. I don’t think they’ve released much if anything since Mike left to start Is/was

 

They had a massive infection issue. It sounded like they may have lost the entire barrel room. Not sure who was to blame for that but it’s been probably close to three years since I remember PDubs releasing a BA beer in bottles to the public. A friend said he saw a barrel aged ale from them on tap in Wisconsin a few months back but it was a blend and it wasn’t anything he’d ever heard of.

hopefully the program returns, I remember the post Gerrit made on a Facebook page basically staking his reputation on this barrel program, promising it’s return and that he would right the ship. Haven’t really heard a peep from the PDubs team since that day. It’s been at least two years since then, but I know PDubs refuses to rush BA beers, and isn’t afraid of extended cask aging so the program might just take a while to revive

 

There were kegs of a beer called Saddle Up that were a blend of barleywines, might have been that.

I do wonder when we’ll see some BA releases again, I know people have dug up TTB labels for some a couple months back. But also they said back in December to keep an eye out for info on BA Sundae Sauce “in the coming weeks” and it’s been 30 weeks now so…

 

Mosaic on Repeat is a heater. Reminds me a bit of TG haze. Saturated with some bite on the end.

 

opened up my bottle of 2018 ruby port abduction last week, phenomenal wish i had another bottle. this one really held up nicely.

 

Seconded. Not Cryo LK level imo but very good.

sorry if the link doesn’t work, but it looks like these guys might finally have some barrel aged offerings coming soon.
