Pipeworks Brewing Company (2020)

Stopped in the Dojo recently and had to pick up a couple more BA Abduction. It's absurd that is still available, it's excellent.

 

How was the 2017 BA JD? I brought one to a share the other day and it was not good. Sour apple taste coming in. Took a few sips and drain poured it. Very disappointed as this is a great brew usually. I’ve had 2 prior vintages and they were both great. I have another 2017 BA Jones Dog and a BA Hyper Dog. I hope this was an anomaly.

 

I also haven't had any bottles that were not good outside of those that they recognized as infected and offered refunds for.

I opened a BA Jones Dog from Winter 2016 just before New Year's, and it was firing on all cylinders.

 

Just had a '13 Jones Dog and Last Kiss and they are still fantastic. Its crazy how well they have held up.

I cant wait for new ones to come out.

 

I think it was 2018 that had the problems. My bottle of The Hyper Dog (Heaven Hill) from then was just brutal. Reminded me of curdled milk.

But yeah, The Abduction is crazy good and it's nuts that it is still at The Dojo.

Trader Joe’s STC had plenty of cans of Citra Ninja available for anyone who is hunting. Beer Cellar Geneva sold out already so I was happy to come across some (and pay by the can)

 

Citra Ninja is a time machine to 2016. Definitely get some if you’re feeling nostalgic. It’s as great as it was then

 

It's smart that they try and keep the higher margin stuff at their store to cut out price break for distro/retailer, but man, I wish I could find these at local bottle shops if there is excess stock since I can't make it to Dojo....

Hasn't Abduction been around for a couple months now? If so, I'm starting to wonder if you're on house arrest and can only venture out a couple blocks from your house.

The last BA Abduction was Winter 2018 so way longer than a couple months.

 

I want to say these were single cans last time. So I am assuming it’s at a lower price ($20 a 4 pack?)

I remember when I first got into craft beer, and I tried to go buy Sure Bet on a trip to Chicago. Every place I went to sold out fast. Man, what a time that was.

 

They released Rainbow Sure Bet in cans (I believe it may have been their first single canned IPA). But they haven't released the regular version yet. Rainbow was $7.99, so I would probably expect the same, but I'm hoping it is in line with the $20 four packs.

 

4 packs of Sure Bet. I feel like I've been waiting years for this...
