Just as long as they remember to bring the all fish along with those unicorns and ninja's, I'm completely in favor of this!
Awesome - lived across the street from these guys when they were just a tiny hand-bottling operation on Wabansia Ave. Never had a bad or boring beer from Pipeworks and they will be very welcome back in my fridge!
Haha, yea I agree its damn good beer. Was wondering if its been selling well and if there are fresh dates coming into the market. Thus the question marks.
Sorry everyone, but how would you feel paying $30-$40 in freaking shipping costs to get Pipeworks sent out to the Pacific Northwest. I really need to stop doing this!. Ha, but I need some Pipeworks, Topping Goliath, Half Acre, etc at least 3-4 times per year.
Does anyone know how often they brew Sure Bet and emerald grouper? and if those get distributed? Pipeworks started to distribute in CT last year but I havent seen these yet.
I think Emerald Grouper may be a few times per year. There's a fresh batch out now actually. Pretty certain that Sure Bet is once per year, usually in Aug. Both these beers see distro in IL.
Not here unfortunately, had a bottle of Emerald Grouper last night that tasted and appeared as if it was several months old. My store just got it recently. No hop profile at all and looked like a light amber ale.
Might just not be your thing? From what I understand, Emerald Grouper is only made a couple times a year & sells out fairly quickly, so I'd wager it was from the last batch Pipeworks released a couple weeks back. I'll find out soon enough, since I have one in the on-deck fridge.
I've been a huge fan of PW hops. All the photos of Emerald Grouper bottle pours online look different from last night's pour. Either I got a bad bottle or an old batch. Good luck with yours.
