Correct (at least that's how I'm reading this as well). Sounds like most of this batch is sitting in barrels for future release, so the non-BA version will be limited. I'm not a huge Destihl fan, but I do think Privyet is a very well done stout. I'm excited to see what the lactose in Jones Dog smooths out the mouthfeel.

100% Untrue. (so you are correct FBarber)

we had (80) cases for the Dojo and (160) went to local distro.

As of closing the shop on Saturday at 5:00PM we still had (1) case left in our Dojo inventory - so the (2) case limit thing did not preclude anyone from getting a 4-pack on Friday or Saturday. Everyone who showed up on Friday or Saturday got the Haze they requested.

Our normal Dojo policy (and has been since we opened in December 2016) is (1) case limit of any 16oz can SKU. We do this so certain store owners don't come in and buy multiple cases for their stores outside of our distribution footprint (like other states - they do try...).

On the day of (or day before can't remember) we were discussing how we wanted to make sure everyone who waits in line or drives a far distance is taken care of for making the effort - and I thought that maybe we should raise all of our 16oz case limits to (2) per person - including NvU vs. The Haze. I was mistakenly under the impression that 100% of the cases of NvU vs The Haze were for the Dojo (believe it or not I don't always know everything and I make mistakes). Luckily - it didn't bite me in the ass and we didn't turn anyone away Friday or Saturday. Only a few people bought a full case as it was.

Knowing all this now - we'll probably make a (3) 4-pack limit on our Hop Butcher collabo and announce it in advance. As always - thank you for the feedback. I goofed - but nobody that showed up Friday or Saturday was turned away without The Haze - and a majority of the cases made it into the wild.

So potentially the truck chasers are also the store owners selling the beer!?

So, what I am hearing is you’ll do a secret release of the hop Butcher collab and only announce it here? You are wise and just.

    :beers:

Might be a slightly unpopular opinion but I think SoS, VoL, and KoB are better than the NvU vs the Haze, which is still pretty damn good.

Think it comes down to flavor profile. I had my first can of NvUvH and much preferred it to the others you mentioned. I'm more of a traditional IRA person than NE though so that could be why

So KoB and SoS are like Roth IRA's?

Lucked into a 4-pack of NvUvH. Cracked my first one and I'm digging it. Great look and mouthfeel and it's got that back end finish that I really enjoy. I think KoB is their best haze and it's one of my favorite locals, but this isn't far behind.

As far as the access, the distro model allowed me to get my hands on a 4-pack. Someone who has about 0.5% opportunity to make it to the Dojo, due to life obligations. So whatever the rationale, thanks, pdubs. Keep your 'science series' haze going and add in the KoB and NvUvH to a semi-regular rotation and I'll be a happy camper.

And while I'm here fluffing pdubs, I will say that it's nice knowing that when I pick up one of their beers that it will be done well. I never question whether the beer will be properly carbed or turn in a week and NvUvH is a perfect example. Even though they may be testing the market, it's ready for the prime-time.

Well we cracked a coconut BA Jones Dog last night and it was definitely infected as well. They did contact me about my other infection issue but no follow through.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed as I said before cuz it is one of my favorite beers.

I just unpacked my cellar this morning (moved recently) and forgot I hadn’t drank my bottle of Coconut JD yet. Was thinking I’d open it next weekend. Looks like it will now be my GoT beer this evening. Sounds like the result could be similar to the upcoming battle.

For what it’s worth, I haven’t heard anything about Coconut having off flavors. So I’m expecting it to be perfectly fine. Just gives me a reason to drink tonight. “Honey, it’s for science.”
