I think its higher in value than regular BCBS this year because of how much was released.

Given the price point of each, you're going to need at least 8 BCBS to land 3 or 4 Pirate BOMB.

It's probably a bit closer to 2:1 so figure how many you want and think 2 BCBS for each one, minimum

Pirate Bombs in Texas average about $12-$15 a piece so closer to 3:1 in my opinion just based on scarcity.

BCBS averaged $8-$10in Philly. I definitely would not wanna do 3:1. I woul say 4:3 is fair.

I thought Pirate Bomb was the chocolatiest beer I ever had until I had a BBA Everett.

2:1 seems off to me. Traded 3 pirate with some deccent extras for 2 dark lords and an extra. The pirate ran me approx 12 apiece. No way could I see 6 bcbs fetching 2 dark lords. 3:1 seems more like it or even 5:2

Try southern tier Choklat. It's literally melted chocolate with alcohol.

    But quite delicious!

6 BCBS would be about $30 in almost everyplace you could get them, if not more. How would that not get 2 Dark Lords, at $15 apiece?

Because Dark Lord is available one day a year at the brewery where tickets for the event sell out in minutes. Yes the $ is equal but BCBS is a limited release shelf beer but still considerably easier to get than Dark Lord. I can't offer up $30 worth of Bud Light and expect it to pull in a nice bottle. Obviously this is an extreme example but my point still stands.

I got 2 Pirates last year for a BASC which was $20, just depends on who wants what.

Yeah....the rarity factor doesn't apply all that much with dark lord.
6 bcbs for two dark lord will get done all day on the trade forums.
Isn't it funny how bcbs tastes like it should be the beer released one day a year brewery only where you need tickets to get in. Instead three floyds puts out a syrupy sweet mess of a beer that people try and trade as soon they get them.

there is more demand for BCBS than there is for Dark Lord

Is there? I see a lot of ISO's for variants of Bourbon County but not many for the standard. If I thought I could trade 6 BCBS for 2 Dark Lords, I would make that trade over and over, but it doesn't matter. Good luck OP with whatever you try and get. I've taken the topic away from the original question and won't comment anymore on the thread.

The only people who are ISO Dark Lord are the people who haven't had it. Once they've had it, they post it as FT.

I love the "you have to buy tickets that sell out in 2 minutes" argument that invariably is mentioned when people talk about Dark Lord's value. News flash: those tickets sell out because 1) people hope to lotto win a BVDL, and 2) for the bottle shares, not because they get 3 bottles of Dark Lord.

Guest taps and bottle shares are what make DLD so popular. I traded my DLs $4$ with some other stuff I've wanted to try for what it's worth.
