BierGarten Moguls posted up that Batch #2 release is possible for early next month...Sounds like another expensive month ahead!

I've never had a rum barrel beer before. I really hope I get a couple of these.

I thought they were moving to the bigger bottles?

I think this will be 12 oz bottles again. I also think it will be 13%, not 14%. Pirate Bomb! is very, very good. It's right up there with Rum Barrel Branson Stout as Prairie's best barrel work.

Is balcones going to be bottled?
    Was it ever bottled before?

Not 100% on the veracity of this info, but my understanding is Arkansas only got 48 bottles of Pirate Bomb.

Seems kinda low, I wonder how much is headed to the Republic.

From what I understood Texas will be getting a release similar to OK (~2 cases per big store) We got a lot less than expected. May be able to get my hands on more soon.

Had Pirate Bomb! this weekend. Too many different things going on in it for my palate, so I think I like regular Bomb! better, but it was interesting

It will be bottled, sort of. In the form of Whiskey Barrel Aged Bomb! (which is aged in Balcones barrels)

My local HEB said they're expecting it this Thursday, but since that conflicts with the 22nd...don't know.

Every thing I've read said that Shelton Bro's were getting it the 22nd. So I wouldn't expect it earlier than that

Shelton Bros. don't distribute Prairie to Texas or Arkansas.

Don't get me wrong - it's a very good beer. You like barrel stuff a lot more than me. I generally find that barrel aging overwhelms most base beers. Both are good, but my palate prefers Bomb!

    Thanks for the info.

Shelton Bros may not distribute it, but Prairie makes it and says it is the 22nd.

Whiskey Barrel Bomb will be a Texas only release, Fred's Blend (Bomb! aged in Whiskey and Port barrels) will be OK only.
