Pittsburgh BA Visiting Nags Head

    Good evening VA/NC BAs!

    I am flying down to the Norfolk airport tomorrow morning and driving to Nags Head for a wedding over the weekend. Just curious if there are any good distributors/bottle shops that would be convenient to visit on the drive. I am not sure how much time I will have to hit up breweries or bottle shops in the area, but I would really appreciate any advice on that front as well in case the opportunity arises. :slight_smile:

    Great beer bars/restaurants in the area are also welcomed, as I think we will be able to go out on Friday and Sunday evenings.

    Also, any reco's for local beers to order around or buy at distribution would be great. The main ones that come to mind for me are Wicked Weed, Devil's Backbone, Perennial, Westbrook, NoDa. After looking at seekabrew.com, it's no surprise that North Carolina gets great distribution, but I am curious if that translates to good distro for Nags Head?

    There's a couple places in Chesapeake , VA on the way down there . Total Wine at Greenbriar and Lets talk Wine a bit off 168 . At TW ask if they have anything special behind the counter . Lets talk wine is a small place but they get some good stuff . Lately I've seen Love Child #5 and some of the Avery special releases in the area . And we get DB and Perennial here .

    In NC checkout Chips . Probably the best bottle shop down there and Trios is close also . Haven't been down there in a few years but if you search Outer Banks there are a bunch of good threads .

    Yeah like he said, do a search, this comes up every now and you can get more info.
    Unless something has changed in the last few months you are out of luck in Nags head (and VA) with WW, Westbrook, and Noda distro. Chips and Trios as mentioned above while in the outer banks, but imo you will find a bit more variety at the TW in VA before you go down. And check out the OBX brewing station (brewpub) for pretty solid food and decent beers.

    There is a Chips 10 minutes down the road that we stopped at. You are right about the WB, WW, Noda distribution, but they had some Love Child and a couple other good Boulevard ones we don't get up north.

    I will check out the other threads for some more info. Much appreciate the replies! :slight_smile:
