I talked with Chris Momberger, one of the head organizers, who said they want to have some sort of "signature event" next year - brainstorming, we were talking about a cask-fest, possibly held on the Clemente Bridge. Who knows if that will materialize or not, but just gives you an idea of where their heads are about PCBW's future.

Seems that the whole week went pretty well, from what I could gather. With the hours I work, I wasn't able to get out to much except the sours tasting (& not as an attendee), but it was cool that just a semi-random trip to Hough's yielded a Flying Dog sampling & a brewing demo at Copper Kettle with Dave Cerminara from Penn. I like that the week included some "bigger ticket" events, but that you could also go just about anywhere & find something going on.

I do urge folks not into twitter to at least get an account for brew based reasons (and sports)

I believe my reference to Harris' was based off of the email, so my apologies on that, but twitter was really awesome for PCBW, specifically for stuff like black note and the BA gonzo that mad mex had.

I thought it was a great week of brew. I liked that many events didn't run into shit shows, an it was great to see participation all over the area, in many unique ways.

To the one who missed black note - organize a Pittsburgh tasting, and I'll gladly bring my bottle!
