Just a heads up, I forgot to post this but on Tuesday I stopped by Caliente's in Bloomfield. They had 1 Bottle of Pizza Boy Golden Sour left. Granted they were charging "Cascade" prices for it at $32, so I passed. I'd rather pay $6 for Incouragable.

Once again Voodoo impresses the hell out of me. Above and beyond. Killer gesture and I cannot wait to try this. Breakfast of Champions on it's own is one of their best beers in my opinion. Much appreciated guys, as most breweries would go tell us to pound salt.

Well they said you need to bring your bottles with you. Hope everyone that has drank theirs kept the bottles, or it sounds like you might be SOL. Am I correct in reading this @voodoobrewery?

It says NO NEED to bring bottles. Thankfully.

Three Floyds did this recently with their infected BA Moloko - refund on the bottle and a $40 gift card for the hassle. Free dinner, beers, and a case of ZD was pretty awesome too.

Way above what's necessary but I won't complain.

Pittsburgh doesn't have any "hidden gem" type bottle shops where you could stumble across a nice surprise like New York does. Fat Head's and Giant Eagle (Shadyside location) are within a 15 or so minute drive of each other. House of 1,000 Beers will often have limited, off the radar, non-distributed products, but they are a good 45 minute drive from Fat Head's.

    Enjoy your stay.

Voodoo also mentioned in their post that they will be releasing details in the semi-near future regarding the next barrel room release which will feature "old favorites". Really looking forward to another bottle release. I always have so much fun at these events. Kind of like a Super Bowl for beer nerds.

For those who have been, are the bottle release's at just the Meadeville location or in Homestead as well?

This year they did both Meadville and Homestead. Initially it was just Meadville, but they changed their minds and did both.

I really, REALLY hope they continue to do it that way.

The first two releases were at the Meadville location. The third barrel room release was initially set up where you had to drive to the Meadville location to secure an allotment. You would pay for the allotment ahead of time, and then when the beer was ready a few months later you had to drive back up to Meadville to pick it up. There were still allotments left weeks after the release was announced, so Voodoo changed their policy and people were allowed to both buy allotments at the Homestead location as well as pick up allotments at the Homestead location (in the case you paid for it in Meadville but wanted to pick up closer to home).

I think keeping the majority of the allotment signups at Meadville is the way to go. Shows who actually wants to put the effort in. And eliminates a massive clusterfuck.

It's on the other side of a tunnel so to Pittsburgh city folk, that's uninhabited land not yet discovered.

Where was the clusterfuck? They did it at both this year and I didn't hear of any issues. Tons of people picked their allotment up in Homestead.
