And just for the record: Sofa King IPA would be a glorious name. There are a lot of worse beer names.

What ever happened to the Butler breweries? There was Butler Brew Works and then that religious-themed one.

Well yeah for sure, it's a pet peeve. haha

I am always reading different law blogs etc. about PA beer law because it helps me stay informed as I go through business planning. Some of it is really dry/boring stuff but I am trying to stay up on all of it.

Randy was nice enough to give me the low down on bottle shops recently, a lot of eye opening info about the local/state laws.

Ok, now does anyone have any impressions of their beer?

You folks are just asking for the janitor to show up again.

New breweries on Main St. in Butler:

Butler Brew Works - Say they are getting close to opening the doors. Been saying that for 2+ years though.

Reclamation - This place is actually going to open fairly soon. I've not had anything from them but they will be at Big Pour.

He contacted and tweeted at every single Pittsburgh brewery to see if they would be kid-friendly and interested in hosting. Hop Farm retweeted it which is how I saw it. I think he just recently moved to Pittsburgh - there's a bit of explanation in his comments on the Facebook group.

It's not a mystery - we can close the (kids) book on this one.

So we can't talk about being Dads on a beer related topic? I said I was a dad in hopes of getting an invite

While his and associated posts seemed to have been deleted, assuming the majority of the off-topic warning is tied to bickering. At least "pints for dads" was actually related to beer.

Speaking of which, has anyone else downloaded the Pittsburgh Craft Beers app (as first mentioned by @brother_rebus )? It's sleek, but appears to be lacking in content--maybe the guy is waiting for more downloads? Know there are a number of beer-centric apps, but when your stuck in a dance recital and your kid's group is number 26 on the list, there's plenty of time to cycle through them.

What about the beers we were drinking that caused us to conceive our children?

Would be nice if they would actually name what beer it is (Overgrowth?).

That would have taken about 6 more hashtags and they were probably out of characters.

There are a few BG employees on here that could probably enlighten us as to which beer it is.

The firkin will actually be Rutherford Saison, which, although it does contain both Cascade hops and wheat, is most definitely still a saison. Not sure where they got "hoppy wheat" from.
