My suggestion would be Piper's or Fat Head's. Or both. They're across the street from one another. Both tend to have a pretty good mix of locals, regionals, and beyond.

Both tend to keep updated tap lists online as well.

Agree, and would suggest checking out the tap list at Carson Street Deli that weekend too--it's proximate and usually has a list of solid local/regional beers. All three will have clean lines, which is nice to not have to worry about. If you plan on eating at Fat Heads on a weekend, take advantage of the No Wait app, to avoid 2+ hour wait time.

The Independent is a bar that carries solely local beers (100 miles or fewer, I believe). http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/34952/?view=ratings

Heading to the game to tailgate as well. Not sure if we plan on going into the game as I am disgusted with the 49ers this year but we may.

Where are you staying / how long. Not sure what's super close to the stadium as far as game day but tons of good places in the area some of the more local guys can help

Modern Cafe is only a 5min walk to the stadium. They have maybe ~10 taps. 1/2-2/3 of which are usually "local". They have a quite impressive bottle selection thiughh. Plenny locals.

Is East End airconditioned? Thinking about stopping there before dinner.

It is, but it's always a little on the warm side in there in my experience.

Both Hop Farm & Roundabout have bands playing this evening as part of RANT in Lawrenceville. Hop Farm will also have 4 different food trucks, not sure about Roundabout.

Roundabout was supposed to have 2, but the first is MIA.

But the next food truck is not to be missed. La Palapa's tacos are probably my favorite in the city - up there with Edgar's.

I stopped at ShuBrew for the first time today. The Shu-Bee-Doo is delicious....a great Imperial IPA in my opinion.

Seems like no one here bought Moonstomp, but I had my bottle last night and thought it was really tasty.

Had it at the brewery yesterday and enjoyed it; although it was a bit one dimensional for a $17 berliner weisse. Think that was the bottle price at least.

It was in that ballpark. I can agree to an extent on the lack of dimension. The dry hopping came through in the nose a lot more than the taste but I really enjoyed it.

Shadyside Giant Eagle if you're looking for bottles. It's a grocery store, but don't under estimate the selection. The beer manager is one of us who posts in this thread and he does an amazing job. They have a handful of taps as well with growler fills in their cafe.
