Hahahah. That's like 7 minutes from my new place. I'll be there. Kinda odd though.
Has anyone seen Pumking anywhere?
@mps I've found in beer trading, if you wait to trade the beer, it's always usually tougher than being the first to do so. Just personal preferance.I'm not planning on trading my set by any means because they sound anazing, but will I possibly ship 1 black magick if it also helps me try something else great. Of course, I love great beer and unfortunately in the pitt/ohio area we don't have much trade bait for most of the year outside of voodoo barrelroom and hopjuju
Haha certainly not salty, more like I am laughing at how concerned you seem to be on what stuff trades/how rare it is for rather than how it tastes. I have a set coming and I don't give two shits how they trade. This is one of the most awesome releases I've seen in a while. You can talk about how they should trade and maybe they will trade that way. However, how a beer should trade is often different from how it does. Good luck trying to land KBBS with these.
I think you are confusing the "first one" with the "third one". I remember you talking about these trades from the Barrel Room III collection, not the first Barrel Room release in 2013. And yeah, you made out on those trades.
Yeah--Been looking for it myself. I think that we might have missed it!
Thank gawd someone feels the same about them as me. I wish Rivertowne would just go away. Also, it's pulling down Rivertown in OH with confusion. haha
KBBS and BA Abraxas trade on VERY, VERY different levels. You can't get a KBBS for 2 BA Abraxas. 3 is probably even a stretch. Don't compare the 2.
Should BM and MBP trade at a BA Abraxas level? Well, who knows. No one has tried them yet. But if they are as great as we think they are going to be, then they will trade as well as we let them.
It'll bring all the Ugg boots to the yard.
This is kind of awesome
No doubt! I'm tempted to pull a "late lunch" today.

81 allotments remaining between both locations. Meadville open at 3, @VoodooHomestead at 4. Come get yours today
Didn't realize OH had an RT as well until visiting Cincy last weekend--inspecting the foreign cans and wondering where the hell the "e" went. This seems like a legal issue waiting to happen.
Careful everyone...the brewer at Rivertowne is the wife of the brewer at Spoonwood...
Or rather (feminist phrasing) Spoonwood's brewer is the husband of the brewer at Rivertowne.
Furthermore, the brewers at Rivertowne and Spoonwood are married to each other, if you're planning on having a share there it might not behoove you to bad mouth Rivertowne.
She's at Rock Bottom now.
God damn it I always get those mixed up.
However I enjoyed Schloppy Monster
I'm sure they know enough about this community/thread/beer culture to not give a shit about people with negative opinions about their products. Personally, I love sushi, but some dipshits do not, but you don't see me calling them out on it, do you?
Sure fair enough. But maybe they care just enough to not do everyone a favor and open especially for them and tap a special keg they are saving.
Speaking of sushi though, have you been to Chaya? That's next on my list.
Looking like I know where I'm eating on Sunday...
The service at that place is some of the worst i've ever experienced and the food is terrible. I'm willing to drink average beer as long as the rest of the package isn't a mess. It shouldn't be very hard for Southern Tier to outdo them.
I'll definitely try it. PGH needs more sushi options. Fukuda was crazy good when it first opened. I love Penn Ave Fish Co and their chirashi bowl. Also stoked for Umami opening its doors.
Also, I like Kiuchi beer, which I guess goes good with sushi
It's one of the better places in Pittsburgh. I prefer Chaya, but food wise it is a lot like Little Tokyo, with slightly higher prices. The decor is a lot cooler than Little Tokyo though.
Damn! I traded all my other voodoo releases for seasonal NE Hop whalez... should have held out for sms
i'm shocked you guys have this nice thread.. few years back i had a nice what's new in NJ thread.. then some people started fighting in 2012 when bourbon county came out and then we weren't allowed to have nice things anymore.. haha.. always shocked when i see a geographic specific thread that has made it this far in pages... kudos to your area for not being savages and playing by the rules!
This is v2.0 of this thread. The first got shut down for exactly what you described happened in your NJ thread.
It happens to the best of us
Thanks for cursing the new thread.
ah... the more you know! haha
your beer scene is very nice, i approve
We most certainly play with fire at times...and BAs have been warned/banned, etc...but we keep on ticking. Thanks for noticin
what do you guys figure the chance of any of the 81 being left after meadville has had at it for a full hr?
Pretty good I'd say. I bet they last until Homestead has been open for a couple of hours.
He thinks we're not savages! Keep the illusion alive people!
I predict all gone by 5 p.m.
Agree, I bet they sell out around 6-7 tonight....but now that folks have known since yesterday, higher likelihood plans are in place today...so who knows, I guess...shit was sorta just sprung on us mid-day yesterday and a lot of us had to scramble to get there...
depends on the draw from north east ohio and anywhere else up north, now that everyone has had 24 hours to plan
I saw people on Facebook last night saying they were driving down to Meadville from Buffalo.
it would be interesting to me to know who traveled the farthest in person for themself to sign up
Maybe I'll have found a parking spot by then.
