Agree...we have a pretty basic version though, so no screens...not too big, but big enough...still easy to handle...

Maybe get a limo license, so everyone in the back can drink beers. And murder it the fuck out.

I'd much rather read this than some of the lame ass threads that have hit the front page lately. One that I keep going back to is all the bitching about bottle releases. It is interesting to see how all the different breweries do their releases.

Besides the Draai Laag Plague release it seems like the hype train has remained at a minimum around town thus the releases have been pretty chill and well handled. But we know that this wont last.

What way do you guys see as the ideal bottle release? Lottery? Buy tickets online/beforehand?

Honestly I kinda like when a brewery randomly releases bottles without telling people. It gives another reason to stop by and check out selection etc. I know it isn't the ideal way to get the hype at light speed but it is a cool way to take care of you locals and make things fun/interesting.

Anything that prevents lines/chaos...so: online tickets, selling allocations in advance, random announcements, etc...

I'm all for spontaneity, but never that lucky, so advanced chances to secure (online or in-person) would be my preference. Agree about avoiding chaos; I'll sit and wait all day drinking, but long lines of chance are probably in my past.

We're going the ticket route for the Rivertowne Hibernation Party, Jan 30th. A ticket opens the door to 10-12 rare beer sampling and the opportunity to purchase from the bomber selection.

I have my two bottles. Kinda wish they were still bombers so we could make bad decisions some time down the road.

Haha, you don't like that dfh is forcing our decisions to only be 12/25.4ths as bad?

Ha, that is pretty awesome/juvenile. Speaking of holiday packs, does anyone have one they can recommend this year? I usually pick up a few of the holiday samplers (yes i am one of those suckers) but it is a great way to try some different beers on the cheap.

I got the Sam Adams one last year and will probably snag it again this year. Went through the Stone one as well. The Sierra Nevada pack has two standards which kinda sucks. I understand putting one standard but two kinda makes me much less likely to buy since half of the 12 pk is stuff I can readily try

This is factual. I don't like DFH dictating my bad decisions.

I believe it's right around $5/can (between $4.95 & $5.25, something like that). However we all feel about that, consider last time they got it was about a year-&-a-half ago, & was $7.95/can.
