the drive back would be horrendous. actually considering not even showing up to either. I have friends staying that weekend, and it may not be worth all the fuss after all.

 

This years Gratitude Label is different from last years. I'm not a bird advocate, but I'm going to assume its the same bird that was on the labels in 2006 (Orange wax). At least it doesn't look like Deschutes The Dissadent !!

 

They are just going through the original bird artwork. Last years was the same as 05.

 

Anyone bringing anything good to gratitude day tmr? I'm thinking of bringing (to share) central waters 18 and rum barrel aged vanilla porter from Breckenridge but I'm sure I'll stare at my fridge for 20 mins before deciding.

 

I'm deciding on a few funky things to bring. I don't even know who is showing up, haven't got much feedback from anyone here. I'm going to try to be there before 10. I'll be the guy with the beard and beer, look for me!

Secondly, being out here in PGH sucks for my guilty hometown pleasure of Sam Adams patronage. Just paid $22 for a fuckin 12 pk variety pack. Is it considered "exotic" out here? I thought IC used to brew it...? You can get a case for that price at home. Bah humbug.

Help us spread the word. Bierport is the new Atlas Bottle Works. Atlas Bottle Works is now called Bierport.

Sure sure the new name is significantly better..... but why did we change? There was a longstanding legal battle for many Atlases all over the country that just recently concluded, for which we were not on the victorious side. To avoid litigation and great expense, we are now called Bierport!

Although the name is changing, we are the same owners and same model of tap room, movie theater, sodas, ciders, and of course 700+ bottled beers.

 

So what will Barrel Room collection release day be like (I'll be going to homestead)? Will I have to line up for a shot at having a pint or two of the selections, or will there be enough for capacity to get 1 glass of each? I'm excited to get my allotment but I also really want to try them all the day of. Any insight appreciated

 

U will have a good shot to try most the cask will be gone quick and wouldn't plan on BM lasting long but the other ones should last most of the day

 

is there anything going on today? thinking of hitting bg, voodoo, and rb in a swoop.....unless i get pulled in other direction for something of interest.....

Meadville last release the cask went first (It was unbarreled black magick) and most of the other drafts you were able to try one of each. I wouldn't get there later in the day but I doubt you have to go an hour before they open.

Though wasn't there a line at homestead prior to opening last release?
