    Randy I'm going to try to attend this. Call it Flight of the Eagle and give me half of the marketing proceeds.

    I was speaking specifically on the Flights at giant eagle but I digress. Regardless, if I'm able, I'd like to go and drink some barrelled stuff

    Just returned from Chicago, where we hit up a big bottle shop just after opening and saw a dude pluck the last KBS four pack right before my eyes. Drank Prairie Bomb instead. Not sure how much KBS they had, but maybe it was better to have missed it--drinking it in between all the bar hopping/brewery visiting would've been wasteful and checking bags/shipping back some KBS (and Pipeworks and Surly and etc.), but just didn't seem to be worth it. Would like to sneak over to GESS, but playing catch up at work and it seems unlikely.

    Thanks to everyone who provided suggestions for my trip--very enjoyable time with dad and brother out there. Visited Goose, Revolution, Half Acre, Piece, Lagunitas in addition to good bars/eats like Local Option, Map Room, Villains, Al's and Lou's. Not eating for a few days. Would say not drinking either, but that never sticks.

    So KBS is at Shadyside. As of two hours ago:

    @Shadyside_Beer
    KBS 4pks are finished now 2 bottles per person.

    Kbs at waterworks 4 pack per and 25$ only 4-4packs left at 230pm! So old fart in front of me went out to his car and got his wife's ID to get a 2nd 6er for his son and it worked! So bring you grandma and pap and clean this place out!

    Curt told me its going to be 33 taps of Apple Brandy Gran Met, each kegged off at monthly intervals. They also made huge flight staves so you can do a vertical.

    Any KBS leads in the south hills? Got tied up at work yesterday and couldn't make it to Shadyside.

    I did not see any at South Hills GE last night. As an aside, the beer section there is really awful. Old IPA's and half empty shelves. Whole Foods can't open soon enough.

    I'd hope once Whole Foods opens that they might shut it down entirely there. There's little to nothing worth purchasing there.

    I used to think the prize for the worst beer selection was the Peters GE but I think South Hills may have actually surpassed its suckitude. That and the peddling of 6+ month old beer is downright disrespectful to customers. Maybe the average customer doesn't know/care?

    Haha the Peters one is awful but it's pretty much the only option when visiting the father in law. The South Hills one used to be decent...scored some Stone Mint Chocolate back in the day.

    And don't hold your breath. Last I heard opening was pushed back to September.
