If you happen to bring back some Speedway variants....i wouldn't be disappointed

We had a few variants of the Speedway, and while they were great, the trip was heavily IPA-centric.

So, you are trying to tell me that the Loveseat Ipa is not "Symphony of goodness! A balanced IPA that is the best IPA that I've ever had!"

I personally like Darren G.'s review of Plush pale ale "One of the best pale ales I have ever tried and that's saying something. I love the beers from Couch Brewery." with the 3 beers total he's checked in I guess he isn't lying since its the only pale ale he's had

I'm headed there in a few month myself. Where do you recommend? My current plan includes ballast point, alesmith, greenflash, pizza port Oceanside, societe, council, modern times, rip current, monkey paws, stone in little and Italy. Will go to Toronado (love the one in SF) and Tiger Tiger as well since north park has a high concentration of places. Thanks.

I live in Harrison City and wanted to check out the event simply because it was going to be Irwin. I heard they are not located in Irwin though, that it was just an event there.

From what I read, they are setting up shop in the old Cafe Supreme in Irwin.

    Quick updates.

I never heard anything back from Hough's about line cleaning. I guess I am not very surprised. At least I tried.

Secondly, I posted a note on their event announcement from the "big beers, small pours" bottle event. I said "did this event not happen?" since they were supposed to post on FB what they were pouring and from the looks of Untappd, they only released things on one day. Kinda weird.

Nice plan--that has a lot in common our lists over the years. We found Greenflash to be a bit of a time-sucker (not as much as an Alpine visit, but this is probably less urgent due to their expansion into our area). Depending on how long you'll be in SD, don't forget to take into account the opening time of each brewery. Our stints in SD often were short in duration, and some breweries don't open till 4PM on weekdays. Because we tried to maximize our time, we would either perform a clockwise or counter-clockwise sweep, and breweries near the beginning of the list with late opening times would eff up the rotation.

I'd add Saint Archer, because of its proximity to Alesmith (think they as close as Societe is to Council). Pizza Ports have different draft lists--some will have a draft that the others won't get; for instance Carlsbad Raceway IPA shows up at the Oceanside location but not others, OC is my favorite of the PPs for a few reasons, another of which is the attached bottle shop.

How long will you be there?

I'll be there for 4 days and have researched the brewery hours and plan on doing clusters at a time. Thanks for the tips.

Brew Gentlemen releases a new Mosaic Pale Ale tomorrow. Paging @shuggy because I know how much you love Mosaic hops...

Hit up Whole Foods today for the first time in ages. Nothing particularly interesting at all. Just bought a bottle of W00t and that was that.

Yeah I was there today too. Woeful bottle selection at best.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to miss that one. Had a TG Sosus about a month ago that was a struggle to drink.

I've not had any TG stouts since I'm not going to give up a ridiculous amount to acquire them but I've been disappointed in 2 of the 3 hoppy beers I've had.
