Pittsburgh Tasting?

(someone else please enter some bottles so I do not feel so lonely in there!)

In lieu of the 12oz bottle idea from last time @HopFace came up with I have been toying with the idea of doing a cellar beer swap. The idea being that everyone has some bottles in their cellar that don't hold a big trade value, you have had them before, and quite frankly you just want something different. A bottle would get you entry and then we would pull names from the entry and the person could pick what they wanted off the table. Worst case you leave with the bottles you brought.

The rules:
1 bottle gets you entry. Max entries per person is 3.
Must be a cellerable beer (no old IPAs, lagers, pilsners etc)
We are not worried about $4$ or trade value

Some example ideas of bottles I would bring to this if we did it:
Life & Limb b2
Boltcutter
2 x 2014 Bigfoot

I like this idea a lot, but there's a reasonable chance I'll completely forget to bring something for it and just watch from the sidelines like last time. Still, my vote is yay.

 

I think its worth trying. Nothing to lose and you might get to try something you have been wanting to try for a long time and never got around to it.

 

Not 100% on making it for this one, I have something going on back home on either the 21st or the 28th. If it's the 28th, then I won't be there. But, if I can go, I added my beers in the spreadsheet.

As far as Greg's idea, I like it.

 

Looks like @PSU_Mike is out for this one, dropping us back to 8 BAs. I have a buddy who is not on BA who is most likely coming. When I was at the Brew Gentlemen for the going away party I spoke briefly with Matt and his quote was that they were coming out swinging for this. Should be a good time.

 

There is a good chance I can make this. I will try to confirm thus weekend.

 

It would be cool to come but work and I just started to cellar stuff a couple months ago so don't have anything good anyways.

 

I can definitely bring another bottle for you. Don't let that be the reason you don't stop down.

Hi all! I am new at participating in bottle shares and trading but this sounds like fun to me. I have bbpt5 that I can bring. Also the bottle swap - I don't know what you all did last time but I haven't been cellaring too long either.
I have 2014 KBS in my lil cellar so I guess I vote A or B since I don't know what C is

I love how people are worried about what to bring. The very first bottle share I attended I believe I brought a year old mad elf and 22oz from Abita(can't even remember what it was). I do applaud those of you wanting to bring something"worthy" but it's not all that important. I really hope it doesn't deter people from deciding to attend. If that was ever the case I have enough beer to help anyone out.

 

This is the good vibe I got from you guys and previous posts which is why I decided to wade in. I'm a noob when it comes to BA forums and stuff but have been around other communities that were less... Ummm... Inviting. I'll bring whatever I have lying around and have an awesome time. Hopefully anyone else lurking like me will decide to come on out!
