I'm from New England staying in the Washington County area for the long weekend. I'm looking for local beers to try. I'm also going into the strip district in Pittsburgh tomorrow (10/6) and I'll be on the lookout there too. And I'll hope if I find something good they'll ship!

I'm about 20 minutes north of Washington if that helps with the location. Anything good I should look for?

Draai Laag products. Aureus and Simon Girty are good stuff. And obviously Church Brew Works and Penn Brewery goods.

Helltown Brewing does great IPAs, & their Mischievous Brown is really good. They're draft only, with the exception of their Devious Belgian Pale, which is bottled.

If you'll be in the Strip, East End Brewing has a growler shop in the Pittsburgh Public Market (the terminal buildings on Smallman Street) where they sell substantial samples (4 oz. for $1) & growlers to go. If they have the Big Hop Harvest on, I recommend that - one of their best releases.

Check out the Beerhive while you're down there - pretty much the only place in the Strip you can find bottles to go, & they serve some good grub.
