The cans taste the same as the last batch to me. Possibly not as hazy but comparing photos they look pretty close.

Thank you everyone! If it's just the appearance then it sounds like i'm grabbing a six pack.

Same here. I opened my last can tonight and there is a definite sour or bitter flavor that developed. Also, I'm picking up a bit more alcohol burn this time around.

Although BBA SSU was not my cup of tea, I really do love Pizza Boy's beer. Al is doing some great things and he's canning it too.

Split a can of the BBA SSU at Al's yesterday. Nothing indicating any infection. I could get behind the theory of age on a coffee beer giving some perception of acidity/sourness, but not much. Thought it tasted pretty darn good. Also, the HopVision - Motueka was pretty tasty.

Anyone sit on a Vietnamese can for comparison?

Still have one or two of the Vietnamese...

I also had a BBA SSU and no sign of infection at all. Tasted good with notes of bourbon and coffee, but no overwhelming flavors.

I noticed on Untappd that 4 new Sunny Side Up variants were added on Saturday. Any information on these? Maybe they are cask variants?

    SSU - Maple Bacon Doughnut
    SSU with French Roasted Hazelnut
SSU with Rum Soaked Oak, Orange and Reaper Pepper
SSU with Double Vietnamese Coffee & Vanilla

I was there Sunday morning and it was business as usual. No SSU variants to be found. Maybe they're prepping for a future release?

It's for a Philly Beer Week event, I believe.

There were a few cases there when I went yesterday. Its a really tasty beer but not at all what I was expecting. Super-lemony and tart but not much sour funk. Hops were pretty restrained as well.

Yes they are all firkins going to Bru for an event this Saturday. Based on Untappd guidelines, they shouldn't have been added, unless they changed it to allow firkins to be unique check-ins.

I would drink all four of those in one sitting if given the opportunity. I would really appreciate the opportunity. That is all.

Cases are now gone. Not really sure what you were expecting as it's a kettle sour with hops and lemons added. Pretty hard to get any funk at all out of one of those.

I added them so that they don't end up with 14 different versions, all with different spelling and years. If they want to merge them later it is quite easy, even easier when there is just one of each...

Seems like it's been a while since they released any new cans.

I believe June 5 is the next canning date, unless that changed.

The plan was every other week I believe, but it makes sense to take a break with the huge stock they had.

Yes to next week, just not on that date.

Drinking my first Viet BBA SSU since I purchased in mid-April. Tasting excellent.
