Thanks. Been traveling the past couple weeks, losing track of the date all the time.
Btw, the batch that is on tap is delicious.

Quite the selection of cans these days. Has anyone tried the hopvisions or fabric of time?

Rakau was my favorite of the two HopVisions and the Fabric. Still nowhere near that Mosaic, though...
Idaho 7 might just be a learning curve/slight aversion to that hop for me. Didn't love it. Would drink it in a pinch, though.
Fabric was a little too bitter, a little too piney/dank/harsh, and not fruity enough for me.

All three are solid beers, but just not aligning with my preferences for hoppy beers these days. Don't want to discourage anyone from trying/buying, though.

I'd like to know what beer they showed in that initial preview picture for FabricOfTime because every single check-in on Untapped looks nothing like it.

Haha, myself and @PA-Michigander said the same thing when I got a pint.

Quick question. So I head into Al's semi regularly, but not really enough to keep up with all the goings on. I was just in this past weekend and noticed that the draft list was significantly shorter. Are they slowly transitioning to serving only their own beer? I know they only crowler and growler their own beer any more.

They can only serve Pennsylvania products now, and only their own product to go. Haven't heard any indication of going Pizza Boy only.

yeah they switched from a restaurant license to a brewery license so they wouldn't be held to oz limits when selling cans/growlers/crowlers to go. With that change meant they could no longer sell any beer not brewed on premise to go, and could no longer carry any out of state beer. So far as I know they have no plan to quit carrying other PA breweries. Al is generally very supportive of local breweries, so I can't see him making that move. With that said, options are more limited when you can only pick from PA, so the fewer taps flowing is probably a reflection of that.

And really, it looks like they've got about 75 beers on tap as we type.... not bad.

As a few of the others have said, the switch to PA only has definitely tamped down the selection. They have also been getting crushed on the weekends recently so going on one isn't going to help things as far as selection goes. Tired Hands pulling back all distribution to the Central PA area definitely didn't help either but not much he can do about that.

Sad to hear about TH pulling back. Have heard rumors of it, but I'll take this as confirmation. May my tears be diverted into the tanks that supply the Haters.

Yeah not exactly a secret or anything. They were really only selling their beer at 4-5 places in the area so it doesn't make a ton of sense to drive kegs up here for that few places especially when they can just serve it at the pubs or can it.

Pizza Boy is the best brewery anyways. I can always find something there that is awesome.

Yeah, nothing secretive about it. I've only seen their stuff at AoH, the Fridge and the Warwick in this area. Not that there aren't others... just what I've seen. Just hadn't seen it spoken as a reality instead of a rumor.

And yeah, makes total sense for them. They're doing just fine.

For those of you in NEPA there is a PB event at Sabatini's tonight. 15 taps, two Firkin's and they are going to be making stuffed cheese steak pizza's for the event. One of the only kegs of White Bronco outside the shop and Al is bringing some un-released bottles to swample. Should be a good one.
