If memory serves, this is almost an imperial Super Tight. Last time, it was something like 3.2% and still as aromatically interesting as all get out. I like this version just fine, but the first one was better, and not only because of the considerably lowered ABV.

Any insiders know if there's anything on the runway for PB? Specifically SSU?

The brewery Twitter should give you some info. They seem to be segmenting their own beer info to that and keeping new beers on tap with the regular Twitter. Non inside info, though, so....

Looks like Sunny Side Up should be available in September at some point, per this Facebook post from last week:

We're brewing FOUR batches over two days to make sure we have enough Sunny Side Up, our 9.5% ABV Double Coffee Stout, to go around this time. Thanks as always to our friends at Little Amps Coffee Roasters in Harrisburg, PA for providing us with the 260 pounds of coffee it takes to brew this monster. Look for this on draft and in cans sometime next month.

Hoping we get some good SSU variants as well.

Seize the Brae released yesterday. Loving these every other Monday can releases. Keep em coming and keep the prices down.

Glad I got a case of Super Tight. So easy to drink and pretty tasty. I perfect "drinking" beer that you can have in the background while doing something else

Tried Seize The Brae last night. It's light and citrusy, which i enjoyed. Can't beat a 6er for $12. Hopefully he continues to sell some IPAs at the $12 mark.

Wait, Seize the Brae is only $12 for a 6er? And its a hazy????

You might have gotten wrong pricing. Website says $10

I got tricked when Yacht Club came out, they charged me extra

Ya, I saw the website prior to going. It was listed as $12 there. Not complaining either way though.

Does anyone know if there's a decent amount of Seize The Brae left?

I was there yesterday afternoon. Good amount left, maybe 10-15 cases on the floor? Plus whatever they don't have out.

Al's been getting a ton of Tired Hands in. In the last month alone they had multiple kegs of Extra Extra Knuckle, multiple kegs of Alien Church, Pineal, Technicolor Splendor, Rustic Pentagram, Metaphor Church. And it looks like they just tapped Oblivex: Retrospective which is very surprising considering that was an anniversary celebration beer. Hope this is here to stay so I don't have to wait to go to back home to Ardmore to get my fix.

^I think you've gotten crowlers filled as well, right?

Yep, I know in the past they wouldn't allow fills of TH but now they do.

It's priced reasonably by Tired Hands status. Same pricing you would see at the brew cafe/ferm, if not cheaper. In fact, a 32oz crowler of Technicolor Splendor was only $9....

    damn

hopefully they keep getting TH kegs on a regular basis

when they first started getting them they were getting some of the better stuff but for awhile it just seemed like Hophands, Trendler Pils

I talked to one of the workers there and he said it should be a more common thing moving forward .

Wonder if the new brewer who came from cigar City has anything to do with it. From what I heard, Terry isn't a fan of Jean for whatever reason.

Can't speak to who thinks what of anyone, but I think the Tired Hands thing will be more of a hit or miss thing going forward, given that TH isn't delivering. Someone from Pizza Boy would need to go down there and pick the kegs up, so that affects things.

All that said, it is a nice option to have every so often when you waltz in there.

Yeah the guy I spoke to said he got 10 kegs earlier this summer. It looks like they've gone through that and then some, hopefully it continues.

If not, it's stout season which means SSU season.

I'm hoping we see SSU in cans very soon along with a couple variations.

I echoe the variations sentiment. I imagine SSU will be fairly soon, I just hope we don't wait a while for the variants

I hope he does a better job with the bourbon barrell aged version this time around too. Felt like he took last year's out of the barells too early
