Didn't go digging through the stacks of all cases, but at least 20 cases that are visible.

 

So excuse my coffee ignorance, but what exactly will be the difference between this version and the regular BBA-SSU?

 

Vietnamese Coffee.

 

Well yes... I can read the label. I meant what difference is that going to make in the flavor of the beer?

 

Oh, sorry. Thought you meant the exact difference between the two beers. We just did a side by side and personally, I found the Vietnamese to have a fuller (fuller from an already fairly hefty beer) mouthfeel and a more prominent coffee nose. If the non Vietnamese is maybe a hair bourbon forward, the Vietnamese is flipped. Bourbon takes a little bit of a backseat, but is still very much in the equation. I think both are delicious, but are certainly distinguishable.

 

Al commented on facebook about an hour ago that there are around ~50 cases left.

 

No worries! My coffee expertise is pretty much limited to Dunkin so I wasn't sure

 

I just left....plenty of cases left. Maybe 40 +

 

I am glad to hear such complimentary things about South County; as I haven't been a fan at all of 90% of their portfolio in the past. Can't say that I see their taps placed at lots of places, but will make an effort to look for them going forward. However, as for Virgil, I couldn't get through more than half of a 10 oz pour recently. Tasted like really bad bourbon to me, but, of course, ymmv. Thanks for the heads up to give them some more tries.

I'm confused. Is there non-BBA SSU Vietnamese cans? Or just BBA?

 

The sticker says Bourbon Vietnamese Coffee, so I assume it is BBA only.

 

Nothing wrong with that cold brew they have going on..

 

Drinking a crowler I picked up right now. I like it, but a little too "candy sweet" for me. Definitely hides the 9% well so agree with the "trouble maker" comment.

 

Only BBA Vietnamese. No unbarreled version of it.

 

How can we add the BA Vietnamese Sunny on this site? I don't see it listed yet
