My opinion as an outsider who travels to HBG for work and knows Pizza Boy well, is that this could be the next Oskar Blues: localized empire of chains, national distro, limited releases of extreme beers. Go Al!

Not to derail the thread, but how is Oskar Blues a "chain" in any way?

Good news. I like their beers and wish them well.

I only wish they located closer to the Philly burbs. Imagine a world with both Al's and Forest and Main in close proximity.

first off, i love pizza boy and wish it was closer to Reading area (and maybe a franchise one would be) but just a couple of things that i wondered after seeing that post:
    1. Soliciting for an interested partner a million dollar+ investment seems odd to post that on facebook.
    2. Would the chains be pizza shops with taps from the main pizza boy or would they each be a brewery? if they are each a brewery, would there be a worry about someone as talented as Terry not brewing at hte other locations or would he rotate to them all?
    3. How far away is he looking to franchise? I feel it needs to be within easy driving distance to other locations

just a couple things i was curious about.

Withdrawn. I always had the impression OB had a handful of places in Colorado. Musta gotten em mixed up with Olive Garden, beer, breadsticks, same difference. Regardless, Pizza Boy won't have any trouble growing into new markets.

If I had the money I'd be all over it. Put that place in the Lehigh Valley and you instantly have your investment back. This area is begging for someone to open something like that here.
