Anybody around Pizza Boy brewery know if Terry is going to do another batch of Intangible? I've had Permasmile and loved it, but was hoping this would last until the next time I made it out.

Went last night and they actually found one last case of the first batch! It's still available for the time being.

Just a heads up to anyone that may care. we are working on bottling MANY batches of barrel aged/barrel fermented Sour beers. bottles should be available in the next 120 days. (we are getting label aprooval for these so they can be purchased for off site consumption)
Some will even see a limited distribution. Over the next 6 months look for Many Many sour beers to be released as we have over 100 wine barrels ready for all of you.
Also look out for Terry Hawbakers new label to hit the streets. INTANGIBLE ALES

Im sure i missed a bunch of important information here so please feel free to hit me up on twitter /facebook/ or email [email protected]

Thanks for your time and cheers!

This place blew it. I stopped in for lunch on a trip down to DC. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and some food. Beer was good, food was so so. Started thinking about picking up a few growlers of Pizza Boy beers, and asked about getting a sample of a few. The bartender said, "We don't give samples." Now what kind of brewery that sells growler fills doesn't let people try a sample? I could understand if they were very busy and I just walked up and asked for a bunch of samples, if they said they were unable to. This policy is rediculous and cost them at least $40 in growlers. For shame Al's of Hamden, no samples mean no repeat business.

We still are planning a trip to Pizza boy, really heard great things about their beer, but I heard some disparaging things from a couple friends over the weekend about how they treat customers, with a similar story to this.

Between Hill Farmstead making you wait on line every day to get beer, when they easily could streamline their operation and make it customer friendly, and other pubs and breweries with attitudes, I am baffled why they would act this way to folks who are and will be their best customers.

FYI, the tasting room at Rushing Duck is free for 4 glasses beer, you also can taste any beer before buying, they are the friendliest folks on planet, and their beer is fantastic. They are open now just over a year, and the talk is they are gonna double their capacity to meet demand. Geee, wonder if their attitude toward their customers has anything to do with it?

For a place that's called Pizza Boy, the pizza isn't very good. Great beer, though.

Wow tons of hate, of late, for Pizza Boy. Would it be nice to sample their stuff? Sure would. Would I have passed on buying their beer because of it? No chance. And their pizza is really good, this coming from someone who makes pizzas for a living. Did you get their slices or buy an entire pizza?

whats the better way to go? slice or pizza? I'm headed there tomorrow after hershey park.

But no samplers or flights is some BS for a "brewery". Extremely disappointed about that.

I'm also curious which pizzas are worth getting. I've had a couple of the veggie pizzas (not completely by choice), but nothing else.
