I agree, I think any 22 oz sours are too much.

Agree with the in-house only rule being a bit much. Pizza Boy is an hour and a half away from me, and if I'm going to make a trip there I am certainly going to want to try as many offerings that pique my interest as possible, and having to buy a 22oz bomber is pretty much out of the question in that scenario. Anyone know why they're all in-house only? Why don't they sell to go bottles?

I believe it is a number of factors that include items such as:

-Labeling and proper approval of bottles to go. Currently all their offerings are registered as on premise only (I dont understand the law to know why growlers are an exception.)

-The hassel of the place being ransacked if a release is announced and how that would disturb the already busy normal, daily operations.

-Al has made it very clear that he wants his beer to be available to the people who come and visit and not just have it sell out in 1-day where some folks might miss out. I realize this isnt ideal for everyone and trust me, I would love to have bottles myself to drink at home or send to friends whom no longer live in PA. However, you cant please everyone all the time. In keeping the beer onsite, ive had the pleasure of tasting all of them more times than I ever imagined and that I cant complain about.

Yeah that makes sense, didn't even think about the labeling approval and potential bottle release chaos issues. So what times are they usually busy? Ideally, I'd like to go during non-peak hours. I might make a trip up there this weekend or early next week.

I've found that late afternoons during the week are good. Like around 3PM.

Now that I moved less than 20 minutes away, I love the in-house sour thing. Where else can you get a bottle of almost Fou Foune quality whenever you want for $25.

Stakem pretty much summed it up it would add chaos to an already busy place if they had a release. Just an fyi for anyone traveling Intangible is sold out.
