Will the DDG cans be tallboys?

I'm guessing it's 50% sarcasm and 50% genuinely not knowing the difference.

About ten months after my OP and they're starting to hit full So Cal distribution.

At around $10 a six pack of 16oz cans, the value is as incredible as the beer is. I see myself drinking a lot of these if we get consistent distribution.

Wasn't big on the Chronic, but Ponto was rather tasty (and a steal at $10 for 6). Still haven't gotten a can of swami...

Ponto is fucking bomb. Chronic is meh - only good when cold, and not as good as when it's on draft. They were outta Swamis when I was there and I didn't want to drive to Bressi just to get it...i'd rather sit and drink draft.

Sorry if I missed this, but are they doing canned on dates?

I bought first batches of Ponto and Swami's. The Swami's was dated and said something like "first canning of Swami's" but the Ponto was not dated.

Anyone know how many batches of Swami's and Ponto they've canned? Do newer Ponto cans have dates, too?

The Ponto six pack I bought at PP San Clemente on Sunday had a date of 1/8/2014 and a drink by date of 4/8/2014. Loving the price point. $10 for a six pack of 16oz cans.

They will all be dated properly from here out. You got one of the test run batches Riko.

And as others have stated, Ponto & Swamis are home runs. Price is outstanding, and frankly where most good beers should be. Yes, I'm looking at you Sculpin. Hopefully Pizza Port sticks to their prices and others eventually come down, which I doubt, since SD is flooded with breweries, so what difference would 1 make?

It's one more to add to the growing list of fairly priced beers.
Stone, Modern Times, Pizza Port, (I like St. Archer IPA). Add those to the other fairly priced CA IPA breweries, Lagunitas, FW, Sierra Nevada, Bear Republic.

Is there really a reason anymore to buy Wipeout, Alesmith IPA, growler fills for $15+, or bombers from the countless new breweries charging $6+? For me, nope.

Love both Swami's and Ponto. I actually think Swami's is much better than the Ponto. Swami's is such an incredible value. For me, it's much more sessionable than their S.I.P.A.
