Places are now using Apple Maps?

    Is the shift from Google Maps to Apple Maps in Places experimental or permanent?

    The change does not support the Firefox browser.

    It's experimental, but I've rolled it back to Google Maps for the moment.

    I quietly switched it to Apple Maps on the web (beta) to do some realtime testing over the weekend. I'm also working on adding browser/OS detection so I can swap out the link and will adjust this as Apple rolls out support for additional browsers and platforms over time.

    I'll post a proper update if/when any official updates are made.
