Coming to Chicago from the UK 21st - 25th November, have been quietly lurking these forums reading the ones relevant to me, e.g. where's the best places to go etc and like most I've identified breweries I'd like to visit that are in the burbs. The general consensus on here seems to be "don't bother, stick to Chicago proper", which makes sense.

My plan is to stick to Chicago Tues - Fri then on the Saturday (where my final destination will be O'Hare for a 9PM flight) is to hire a car for the day and try and fit in the breweries I'd identified, which at the moment is Mikerphone, Noon Whistle and More. Do these 3 sound sensible? Is there anywhere else I should try and fit in? Will also need food at some point so any recommendations for great places to eat in the area of the breweries would also be appreciated.

Mikerphone or Shoeless Joe's. SJ's being VERY close to O'Hare and serves food.
